Puerto Vallarta Traveled there for a buddy’s wedding and fell in love with the place. Not only is it more accessible than I thought it was, I had no clue how beautiful it was. Although we didn’t explore way too much, I got to see it from some pretty cool vantage points. Beyond the bug bites from the botanical gardens (literally warns to wear pants or bug spray - guess who didn’t listen…), it’s definitely a place I would love to see more of. The hotel/resort main drag of Cancun never exactly made me love Mexico. The trip to Isla Mujeres was wonderful. Rocky Point has its place, but this won me over. #adventure #travelphotography #destinationphotographer

Flow Continuing to learn to follow nature’s flow and go with the seasons. Through good conditions and adverse conditions, always finding a smile in the moment. Being where my feet are. Photography brings me into those moments and brings me back to them. Being by the ocean, walking in the sand, taking in the views and the air, I needed that reset and grounding. It’s where I feel most at home. It’s one of the places I can breathe and come back with a full heart ready for that flow like the tide and the waves rolling in and out. Life is good and I’m continuing to find my peace and simplicity in it, so I hope by sharing some of these images you find yours too. Don’t forget to breathe

Catch me if you can I’ve been playing catchup for a while now. Finally going through photos from Germany and other adventures along the way. I’ve been riding this wave of the burnt out and the inspired. I’ve lived in survival mode for the past 3 1/2 years and finally realized it, or maybe more so admitted it to myself. I love what I do. I love this life as a professional photographer and the smiles I’ve been able to experience with those I’ve crossed paths with. I wrote about this many times before it became a reality. I’ve had hard nights and even days of being so overwhelmed by what is on my plate that it translated into my everyday life at times too. Edits get pushed back because I cannot muster up the creativity to make the photos or videos into something that I would be ok with sharing. We can be our own worst critics most of the time while also knowing that a simple edit will also suffice. I’ve been hard at work on restructuring my life, my business, and my mind , all while getting caught up. It’s a truly beautiful process. I’m thankful for even being able to have these kind of conversations with myself and others. For all the inspirations and adventures when I just wanted to run away from it all that I’ve had in between. It’s paying off. And all I have to say now is that I’m grateful. Thank you for all of your support and, for some of you, your patience. I have a vitality in me that I haven’t felt for a long time and it lights me up. šŸ–¤

Ups & Downs I’ve been catching a lot of sunrises and sunsets lately. Capturing them, then just sitting with them. It’s a peaceful time when the world slows down from our constant movement throughout the day. It’s a welcoming into the day showing us that our opportunities are endless and this life can truly be beautiful when we choose to Live. I’m not always full of wonder, or excitement, or life, but sometimes those are the times to just take a step back and become an observer. I like to stay up as much as possible though and have been more intentional on catching and capturing these sunrises and sunsets. It’s been good for the soul so I thought I’d share some for you all. AZ has some pretty great views. Taken a bit to really appreciate them.

ā€œMaybe the journey isn’t about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t really you, so that you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.ā€ -Paulo Coelho A journey we all take. A quote from one of my favorite books, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho. If you haven’t read it yet, give it a read and let me know what you think of it. If you have read it and gained something from it (or think it’s complete garbage) tell me. This is something I’ve been working on in my personal life and my professional life. Instead of just trying to ā€œaddā€ to my plate, I’m intentionally subtracting those things that don’t serve purpose in my life or add value anymore. I’m also digging back to remember what I do like and what I wanted as a kid growing up. It’s a hell of a journey and we are all in it in our own way, but man is it an adventure. #adventure #life #glaciernationalpark

ā€œFor the 99 percent of the time we’ve been on Earth, we were hunter and gatherers, our lives dependent on knowing the fine, small details of our world. Deep inside, we still have a longing to be reconnected with the nature that shaped our imagination, our language, our song and dance, our sense of the divine.ā€ - Janine M. Benyus - There’s a peace to Sedona when you escape the crowded parts. I do think people are seeking a true grounding or a sign by heading out there. The place is beautiful and has a mystical presence when you just sit, observe, and experience it. I’m not always a fan of the desert as of late, but I’m coming back around to finding joy in it. When I think about it and of the plants and trees that grow there, survive there, they use only the resources they need. It’s a beautiful metaphor for how we can live our lives. Something that helps us live freer and more intentionally. Something I’m working on getting back to each day. #sedona #naturalbeauty #livelife #getoutside

ā€œAway from the tumult of motor and mill I want to be care-free; I want to be still! I’m weary of doing things; weary of words I want to be one with the blossoms and birds.ā€ - Edgar A. Guest - Missing long drives and beautiful scenery. Being in places that have a vastness to them. Whether it is open fields or mountains that reach to the sky with valleys running free between them, those places give me a chance to feel less weight on my shoulders and my mind and I feel like I can breathe there. Showcasing nature is one thing, but actually being present in the moment when you are there, even if it’s taking one minute or five to sit and breathe and be where your feet are. I’ll take that any day over the hustle and bustle of life. #bestill #dailymindfulness #justbreathe

ā€œBad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life.
