We loved joining the MOE Family Luncheon this month! The incredible Student Nutrition Services team works so hard every day to provide students with lunches that are not only nutritious, but fun and visually appealing too. Family Luncheon Day is always extra special with the themed decorations and festive atmosphere! Our Thrive staff and volunteers loved jumping in to help serve and clean up for all the extra lunches shared with parents, grandparents, and friends. We are having so much fun at Culinary Apple today! 20 fudge flavors to sample in the store… before you choose what you want out of 55 options! For every 5 pieces sold, $5 goes to Thrive! We are so grateful for the incredible meal donations last week! ❤️ On Tuesday, Layla’s spoiled our teens with amazing flatbread pizza and fresh lettuce wraps! Thursday, thanks to a financial donation, we treated students to burgers and fries from the always-delicious Lakeview Drive-In! And on Friday, Mary Ann Comisky, Jean Sullivan, Corkey Christensen, and Molly Meredith showed our Manson teens so much love with homemade mac & cheese, caesar salad, baked beans, and incredible brownies! We are beyond thankful for this community and the many ways you show up for our youth... it truly makes a difference. Want to get involved? ✨ We were so honored to be part of the 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘴 & 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘍𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 this afternoon for Girlies Getaway! ✨ You could truly feel the incredible energy of women coming together for a weekend that was both meaningful and unforgettable. ❤️ A special highlight was hearing Elishia Ortiz, founder of HERMVMT, share her powerful journey to the crown... reminding us all to challenge ourselves and go after dreams we may have never thought possible. Her words were inspiring in every sense. We were also deeply moved by the generosity in the space. The outpouring of support for youth in the Chelan Valley warmed our hearts in more ways than one on this beautiful, sunny afternoon. ☀️ Thank you, Kelsey and Shai, for inviting us to be part of something so special. We want to give a HUGE shoutout to the Lake Chelan Community Services Council! ❤️ This incredible group truly lives out their mission day in and day out, and we are so grateful for their continued support. Thanks to them, we were able to restock craft supplies at both of our Teen Centers... and wow, have they been getting put to good use! Our centers have been BUSY this year, and students have absolutely loved diving into creative projects like painting, sewing, bracelet-making, and more. We even added some exciting new tools like a button maker and a wood burning kit! These activities aren’t just fun, they’re incredibly valuable for a young person’s mental health and overall wellbeing. Creative expression provides: ✨ A healthy outlet to process emotions they may not yet have words for ✨ Opportunities to relieve stress, decompress, and regulate emotions ✨ A sense of accomplishment and confidence through creating something uniquely their own ✨ A safe, judgment-free space to explore interests ✨ Meaningful social connections through shared projects and teamwork We are beyond thankful for the support of this amazing group. We are feeling so incredibly grateful after last night’s volunteer training! ❤️ Our volunteers continue to show up in the most meaningful ways... not only by spending time with youth in our valley, but by committing to learning how to support them even better. That kind of dedication makes a lasting impact. During our training, we covered healthy boundaries, mandatory reporting, referral protocols, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), and QPR (learning how to recognize suicide warning signs and respond when it matters most). These are powerful tools, and we’re so thankful to Nesha Bremmeyer and Derek Todd for sharing their knowledge and expertise with our team. A huge thank you as well to Chelan Market for the incredible taco bar (with enough leftovers to share with the teen center tonight.. bonus!), and to one of our amazing volunteers (Aly Stratton) who brought homemade cookies. Seriously… how lucky are we?! 🍪🌮 We see so much hope for our students because of each of you. They have committed to supporting both our Food2Schools program (weekend meal bags) and the annual Lake Chelan Valley Back to School Fair... two of our largest and most impactful programs serving youth in our valley. Because of partners like this thoughtful group, we’re able to continue providing essential resources and support to local students and families. We have some exciting news to share! 🎄✨ Thrive has been asked to take over Manger Mall starting this year... and we couldn’t be more honored and excited to say YES! Manger Mall is such a special program because it empowers parents to choose meaningful gifts for their children, ensuring every kiddo has something to look forward to under the tree during the holidays. ❤️ This incredible effort is made 100% possible by donors. If you’d like to be part of bringing joy to local families this Christmas, you can donate by making a check to 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 and putting “𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗹” in the memo line (PO Box 3051, Chelan, WA 98816). We’ll make sure it goes directly to this fund! For those who may not be familiar, Manger Mall’s mission is to bring hope and joy to local families at Christmas by providing resources for parents to choose gifts for their children. Since starting in 2009, it has supported families across the Chelan Valley who are working hard but may still need a little extra help... especially during the holiday season. Through the program, families with children in Chelan and Manson schools receive Chamber Bucks gift certificates that can be used at local Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce businesses; supporting both families and our local economy. Last year alone, nearly 700 children in our valley were supported through Manger Mall. What an impact! 🙌 A huge thank you to Shannon Leahy, Sue Nadon, and Karen Pembroke for walking us through this incredible process that they have perfected. ❤️ We also want to thank all those who have been on the Manager Mall committee over the years and to the many community members who supported Manger Mall. We want to give a huge, heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Country Financial Chelan Office 💚 Not only did they provide an amazing space for our Formal Wear Giveaway, but they’ve also been so gracious through all the excitement... welcoming the noise and the added flow of people with nothing but kindness. Thanks to this partnership, we were able to give away 30 dresses, a suit jacket, a handful of ties, and LOTS of jewelry... helping students feel confident and ready for their special events! Zane, Andrea, Alejandra, David, Dylan, and Melissa~ you have truly been the best partners we could have asked for. Your warmth, generosity, and genuine care for our community have meant so much to us. If you’re looking for insurance (auto, home, life, farm, and business) we can’t recommend this team enough. Their hearts for supporting youth and giving back are truly inspiring. We’re so grateful to know you and to work alongside you!

Last week was full of incredible meals at our Teen Centers... and full hearts to match ❤️ On Tuesday, our teens enjoyed Chicken Alfredo generously donated by the Chelan Drama Club through Andante, paired with garlic bread and salad for the perfect dinner! Thursday brought a comforting, home-style meal of rotisserie chicken, potato salad, and green salad...made possible through your donations! And Friday? We had a full house and were lucky enough to have two amazing meal donations! Huge thanks to Riyan Holte for the pulled pork sliders and Stacy Bjarnason for the pizzas! Everything was devoured, and our teens (and volunteers!) left happy and full. Meal support comes to us in so many meaningful ways (restaurant donations, home-cooked meals, financial gifts, and even freezer-friendly family meals).
