#SponsoredByGSK And for the grand finale…the @thriveat50plus ladies at the 77th Emmys!    It was such an honor to attend the Emmys and to partner with GSK’s THRIVE@50 + campaign to raise awareness of shingles—a painful, blistering rash that can last for weeks.      As women 50 years and older, it is so important to prioritize our health since our immune system declines naturally as we age, increasing our risk for shingles.   About 1 million people in the US will develop shingles each year. If you’re 50 years or older, ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention.

Are you at an increased risk for shingles? This #ShinglesActionWeek, @doctor.bayo shares three risk factors for shingles that you need to know. Shingles is a painful, blistering rash that 1 in 3 people will develop in their lifetime. The risk for shingles increases at age 50. In addition to age, certain conditions such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular disease have also been associated with increased risk. So if you are 50 years and older, ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention. #OurShinglesStories

#SponsoredbyGSK Laarni’s story is a powerful reminder that shingles, a painful blistering rash, can happen when you least expect it. What started as a family trip to Hawaii quickly took a turn.    1 in 3 people will develop shingles in their lifetime. As a clinician, stories like Laarni’s reinforce why educating adults who are 50 years and older about their increased risk is so important. If you are 50 years or older, ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention.  #doctorreacts

#SponsoredByGSK I’m with @thriveat50plus Patient Advocates, Linda and Sharon, to read some comments shared by YOU!  Shingles is a painful, blistering rash that can last for weeks and disrupt your daily life, including work and time with family. Adults 50 years and older are at an increased risk for shingles because the immune system declines naturally with age. In fact, 99% of adults 50 years and older already have the virus that causes shingles inside their body, even though not everyone at risk will develop it.  If you are 50 years or older, ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention.

#SponsoredbyGSK Wow, I learned a lot at the recent @KrogerWellnessFest , especially about a topic we don’t talk about nearly enough – shingles. For anyone 50 years and older, this post is for you! Here are my top takeaways from the festival. Ask your local pharmacist about your risk for certain vaccine-preventable diseases, like shingles. #SponsoredByGSK I want to show you how I take steps to help protect my health with movement and what I learned about my risk for shingles now that I’m almost 50. Many of us will be heading to our local pharmacy to get a flu shot this season. I know I will be. While you’re there, talk to your pharmacist about your risk for shingles if you’re 50 years or older. #SponsoredByGSK I spilled the tea about my night at the 77th Emmys with GSK’s @thriveat50plus campaign. While attending the Emmys, I got real about shingles because those who are 50 years and older are at an increased risk for it. 1 in 3 people will develop the painful, blistering rash in their lifetime. I don’t like those odds. If you are 50 years or older, ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention.

#SponsoredByGSK What a weekend at the @KrogerWellnessFest ! I usually talk recipes in the kitchen, but this time, I’m talking about my recipe for wellness. I am learning more about my health risks after 50, including something we don’t talk about enough – shingles. Join me and @thriveat50plus in raising awareness about shingles. Shingles is a painful, blistering rash that can last for weeks and can disrupt daily life. The immune system weakens with age. Starting at 50, the risk of developing shingles sharply increases. It’s also more common than we may realize – 1 in 3 people will develop shingles in their lifetime. If you’re 50 years or older, like me, one of the most important ingredients for staying healthy is talking with your pharmacist about your risk for vaccine-preventable diseases, including shingles. #SponsoredByGSK Hey Sunshines! My heart is full as I reflect on my and @tingmystyle ’s conversation with the iconic @thesherylleeralph about aging and our experience having had shingles, a painful, blistering rash that can last for weeks. The pain was intense, and I felt isolated. Aging is a blessing, but as we age, our immune system naturally declines, increasing our risk for shingles. It’s so important to remember to be proactive about our health. The reality is that 99% of adults 50 years and older already have the virus that causes shingles in their body. 1 in 3 people will develop shingles in their lifetime. If you are 50 years or older, ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention. . . . . . . . . #raisinggreatnessofficial #losangelesblogger #takecareofyou #honestlymothering #momblogger

#SponsoredbyGSK It’s not every day you get the opportunity to teach @thesherylleeralph , but we’re here in class for an important lesson on shingles! Shingles is a painful, blistering rash that can last for weeks, and it’s more common than you may think. About 1 million people will develop shingles in the U.S. each year. Adults 50 years or older are at increased risk. If you are 50 years or older, ask your doctor or pharmacist about your risk for shingles and about prevention.
