Now @kayamusic ’s Scrambled Eggs show has happened, we are setting our sails securely to August’s reunion, retrospective anniversary celebrations.
Threshold was never meant to behave itself. It spilled out of rooms, took over buildings, and gave artists a space to try things they sometimes thought they shouldn’t, but absolutely did anyway- and it was part of the charm!
From day one it’s been about grassroots — new artists, new work, new collaborations, and those moments where you accidentally find your new favourite thing, or even your new favourite soulmate. We know of at least five Threshold couples resulting in at least three new humans!
15 years on, we’re bringing the gang back together.
If you played, volunteered, watched, wandered in by accident… you’re part of it. If you want to make it official; fill out the form on our website to get involved!
More soon…

Had a great Saturday morning with @abilingosocialmedia talking about the excellent @sunflowersliverpool , the work they do and how they helped me. I also got to talk about @thresholdfest and our upcoming celebration event on August 1st (LinkInBio). We had sunshine for the one hour we spent filming, before it went back to the crappy weather we’ve come to expect this year. Video coming soon…and thankfully, so is spring.
Today’s the last day for super early bird tickets.
Here’s a small sneak peek of the website, where we say a bit more about why we’re doing this.
We’re doing it one more time, because it never got the ending it deserved. Link in biog! #thresholdwashere

How it started.
.
This poster would have started doing the rounds about fifteen years ago while we worked over the Christmas break to try and piece the behemoth that was the first Threshold Festival together.
.
By the time we were in pre-production these numbers were somewhat inaccurate - there were actually a lot more stages, bands musicians and DJs as well as a full visual & performing arts and film programme.
.
Was it perfect? Absolutely not, but it made an impact and it’s great to hear people still talk about it.
.
Feels like yesterday and a life time ago.
.
What memories do you have of Threshold Festival 2011?
Lost for a Christmas present? Threshold returns for one unforgettable day/night on 1st of August 2026! We never got the chance to say a proper goodbye because of the pandemic, so we are putting on a celebration of 15 years since the first Threshold festival. Expect grassroots magic, Liverpool creativity, and a reunion of all the friendships made along the way.
We are releasing a limited batch of Christmas Gift Tickets at £20, available only until 31st December.
Perfect for: • your mate who still talks about “that” Threshold set in 2013, • the artist who started here, • or yourself (self-care, babes).
After 31st of December, they disappear like a stray PA system after load-out. Image by @ixiod #thresholdwashere #thresholdfestival #liverpoolmusic #musicadventures
