Our process has been centred in relationship and kinship, in exploring the paradox’s of modernity as well as the beauty & challenges of being connected (or disconnected) to a place.

One of the facets of our debut show 'The Dreaming' is the inclusion of Catwalk sections that showcase five different bespoke outfits that you will have seen in our posts recently.
These were all made and photographed by Ava, one of the members of our collective who is a textiles artist alongside being part of our ensemble. Each outfit is made from secondhand and dead-stock fabric and takes inspiration from different non-human beings. The River outfit features a map of the River Dart and it's catchment appliqued on the front!
Each photoshoot was a collaboration with nature in our beloved Devon- from the wild open moors to the gloriously blue Ocean on the South Coast. Staying open to what each site could offer us and immersing ourselves in the beauty. The photos became postcards to go alongside the performance.
Ava runs a textiles mending and commission service in Totnes.
