After five years of working quietly behind the scenes, it’s incredibly rewarding to finally share our involvement reimagining the home of @thedalmore . From the outset, this was about more than a refurbishment and expansion of a distillery. The project was about shaping the Client’s vision to create a unique place. Throughout the project we were guided by the concept of “stepping into the light”. The result of this approach is a journey through transformed existing buildings, carefully designed engagement with the craft of whisky making and the wonderful new still house, home to the iconic idiosyncratic stills. The project is defined by the balance of the existing with a confident and elegant new architecture. “Walking into the church-like still room at the brand new The Dalmore distillery is as close as I’ve come to a holy experience in recent years.... Reimagining such a revered whisky distillery in a way that respects its past, but acknowledges the present – and looks to the future – is no mean feat.” Quote from Elite Traveler, Millie Milliken “What exists here now is not a renovation. It’s not even a reinvention. It’s something far more deliberate - a complete reimagining of what a distillery can be when time, design, and obsession are allowed to lead.” Quote from Haute Living, Laura Schreffler This has been a great collaboration of creatives. The Dalmore is now open. The PBSA proposals for St George’s Studios are being finalised for submission of the Planning Application. Following engagement with the community as well as extensive discussions with the Local Authority and the market we have made a refined the designs. The focus has been on improving layouts and accessibility; managing the impact on neighbouring properties; ensuring an integrated response with the wider context and streetscape. While the changes are not significantly different from those presented at the last consultation in August 2025 they collective offer a better balanced, considered and sensitive response for taking the project forward with the aim of creating a scheme that is well-grounded in its context while delivering high-quality, functional spaces. We are hosting a final public consultation to share the updated proposals and hear your thoughts: 📍 Woodside Library, 343 St George’s Rd, Glasgow G3 6JQ 📅 Tuesday 28 April 2026 ⏰ 3pm – 7pm You can find out more about the project here: /project/st-georges-studios-glasgow/

Yesterday we hosted the @scottish_cities_alliance peer-to-peer session ‘The Investable City Centre’ in collaboration with @revolatest . Representatives from all eight Scottish Cities joined us in our Glasgow studio for a full day of keynote presentations and panels, drawing from a wide range of perspectives.   @threesixtyarch Alan Anthony and Gina Colley led the four sessions with a fantastic line up of speakers:   Firstly, ‘Creating the Conditions for Investment’ with Diarmaid Lawlor, Scottish Futures Trust and Chris Dougray, Chris Dougray Ltd. Alan, Diarmaid and Chris set out key principles for telling the right story to attract investment.   Next, we had ‘Scottish City Case Studies – Models for Delivery’ with presentations from Diane Milne, Dundee City Council, David Cooper, The City of Edinburgh Council, Lucy Alston, Aberdeen City Council and Paola Pasino, Glasgow City Council sharing experience from regeneration projects to adaptable planning policy to facilitating regular public private forums to unlock development.   We had an inspiring keynote from Jenny Hartley MBE of Newcastle City Council for the ‘English Comparative Learning’ session. Alistair Chapman, Barker Proudlove and Sandy Smith, Buccleuch Property joined Jen for a lively discussion on creative models used south of the border.   A fireside chat with Martin McKay, Clyde Gateway and Michael Ross, Turner & Townsend closed the day, drawing on their direct experience of ‘getting things done’.   It was great to hear positive feedback on the day on the value of sharing knowledge in person. A massive thanks to the Scottish Cities Alliance team for collaborating on the organisation and curation of the event. Gillian McCallum, Iain McCreaddie, Lauren Pascu, Daniel Clark-Gibb

A major milestone for East Kilbride! Our PPiP masterplan application for Centre West has been approved. This represents a key step forward enabling the detailed plans for the new Town Hall, Public Realm and Housing plots to come forward this year. The Vision is for a contemporary and high-quality urban development that is an exemplar of town-centre regeneration and key to the transformation and re-energising of East Kilbride. The masterplan provides flexibility through resilient site infrastructure and a suite of design codes, demonstrating how a range of housing mixes and densities can be accommodated to appeal to a range of developers. The new Town Hall will be a flagship destination bringing together overlapping functions of Leisure, Culture and Council services. We are looking forward to continuing ongoing engagement with the community as the plans progress. This International Women’s Day we look back on a year of progress in workplace gender equity and the Feminist City movement. Reflecting on the theme of #GivetoGain, we strongly believe that change won’t happen without structural intervention and generosity of time devoted to activities that ultimately make places and projects better for everyone. Read on to see what we’ve been up to:   Building on our industry leading maternity package, we enhanced our paternity leave to six weeks full pay.   We contribute as a Feminist City advocate on Glasgow’s Urban Design Panel, highlighting opportunities to improve inclusive design in forthcoming planning applications.   Hosting multi-day public events on key projects like Buchanan Galleries and East Kilbride, where children are invited to get creative and engage, resulted in deeper conversations with parents and caregivers, often women.    Delivering internal gender sensitive urban design training with Marina Milosev, Beyond the Red Line, was a powerful and effective way to upskill the full team.   We helped to widen the conversation on Feminist Cities within the industry and with the public at various events: Glasgow Open Doors Day Festival May East, PhD’s Architecture of Exchanges series and Archifringe Event Promoting Glasgow’s Feminist city ambitions at the UK Revo - Retail. Property. Community. Conference Collaborating with the OECD - OCDE international forum on our stakeholder and community engagement techniques Participating in Glasgow City Council’s Child Friendly Summit with Jan Gehl Studio   Looking ahead, we’re excited to contribute to upcoming events with Il Salotto on Inclusive Cities and Luleå University of Technology on Planning for Walking.

A few of the Threesixty team visited the Brutal Scotland exhibition at @trongate103 yesterday. The exhibition showcases photographer Simon Phipps’ exploration of Scotland’s post-war modernist and Brutalist architecture - highlighting the bold civic ambition that shaped many of our towns and cities. It was particularly interesting to see several East Kilbride town centre buildings featured. As architects currently working on regeneration projects there, it’s a timely reminder of the value these buildings hold and the opportunity to adapt and revitalise them for the future.

As part of our ongoing work on the redevelopment of East Kilbride Town Centre with @southlanarkshirecouncil , we were pleased to host Dr Alastair Fair in our studio yesterday for a fascinating lecture on Scotland’s New Towns. Dr Alistair Fair is an architectural historian at the @edinburghuniversity and author of 'Building Modern Scotland'. The session explored the social, economic and spatial development of East Kilbride and other New Towns across the UK, reflecting on the ambition and optimism that shaped their planning and design. We hope to carry forward that same spirit to help deliver a modern, fit for purpose town centre that responds to the community's needs today while building on East Kilbride’s unique heritage.

Great to see the Port of Leith Distillery featured in the Guardian as part of Scotland’s thriving and innovative whisky industry. Founders Paddy Fletcher and Ian Stirling set us a challenging brief to design the distillery as a bold new face for Scotch whisky - one that respects centuries of tradition while confidently looking forward. Standing 40m tall on the Leith harbourside, the vertical distillery acts as a modern beacon marking Edinburgh’s gateway from the sea, and a landmark for both the city and Leith. Its unique vertical design creates a production environment and visitor experience like no other, embodying the client’s vision, the spirit of the place, and the future of whisky-making in Scotland. We’re pleased to share that the Inverness Campus Phase 2 Masterplan has now received planning approval. It’s been a privilege to continue working with @hiescotland and Turnberry Consulting on this next stage of the Campus’s evolution, helping to shape a framework that supports the sustainable growth of Inverness and the Highlands. Developed in close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, the masterplan builds on the original Campus design framework and reflects several key influencing factors - including the area’s recent Inverness & Cromarty Firth Green Freeport status. This new phase strengthens the Campus’s existing achievements while introducing fresh character zones to encourage adaptable, sustainable and innovative development. The approved masterplan sets out: • A clear and robust vision, with distinct character zones and a phased approach to development • Comprehensive design guidance and principles to inform all future projects • Individual plot guidance alongside defined development parameters This milestone marks an important step in supporting Inverness’s continued sustainable growth and reinforces the strong foundations already in place at the Campus. The Foodhall - Glowing on the skyline European Style Food halls are an increasingly popular phenomenon. Distinct from mall food courts, they are vibrant gathering spaces built around independent operators and hosting all manner of events. They are typically found in secondary locations at street level but at @buchanangalleries , we are turning that model on its head. As part of the wider redevelopment for Landsec, the large-scale food hall is elevated above Glasgow’s most valuable retail parade, giving it a truly unique position in the city. The prominence comes from a powerful and legible identity visible from street level - a clear signal that sparks curiosity and draws people upwards. The space is conceived as a new civic room in the sky, with a centre piece generous, double-height space, offering openness and the shared experience of connection to sky, city and long views. The proposed façade and roof intervention introduces a sense of richness, craft and presence to the topmost level of Buchanan Galleries. The layering of vibrant new uses in under-used upper floors continues the delivery of the ambitions in The Vision for Glasgow’s Golden Z and is inspired by the generous proportions and atmosphere of great European food halls, the design creates a landmark destination - glowing on the skyline and delivering the vibrancy expected of a premier urban food experience.
