It’s from the Power Transfer Unit (PTU), a normal hydraulic system component that transfers power between the green and yellow systems to maintain equal pressure, often heard during engine start or brake tests when one system is pressurized and the other isn’t yet. 👨🏻🔧 This distinctive, rhythmic “bark” is the sound of the PTU’s rapid on/off cycling as it equalizes pressure, indicating the backup system is working correctly ✅

My respect goes with Wing Commander Namansh Syal from Indian Air Force, who tragically lost his life in a Tejas aircraft crash during Dubai Airshow 2025. 🇮🇳🕊️ These two pictures were taken 4 and 3 days (respectively) before the horrible accident while he was performing the amazing demo on the same aircraft, and nobody could have imagined what was going to happen later in the week 😞 May he Rest in Peace and all the praises are with his family 🙏🏼
