This could be the best monthly specials menu by any bakery this year @threefoldpastry .
Sea salt miso caramel $13.50
Coconut pandan scroll $13.50
Deconstructed tiramisu $13.50
Pecan brownie log $13.50
Sea salt miso caramel had soft, gooey and moist banana fudge cakes inside and on top (hence i called it banoffee). But that sea salt miso caramel is what stole the show. A rich caramel bit wasn't sickly sweet and that was actually salted. Bottom croissant was a bit soggy but the top was still crisp, flaky and caramelised.
Coconut pandan scroll had plenty of cinnamon sugar coating and it was like biting into a cinnamon donut. Buttery croissant scroll with a pandan flavoured layer enveloped in it with lots of toasted coconut. I wish the pandan cream cheese frosting had a bit more pandan flavour though.
Deconstructed tiramisu had a sweet coffee taste up front and once again, showing that i dont actually hate coffee desserts 😅. Coffee soaked cake on the inside with marscopone cream for that tiramisu element. Then the chocolate cookie crumbs on top were actually crunchy for some texture.
Pecan brownie log had caramelised crushed pecans on top and a goooeyyy fudgey brownie inside which was then balanced out with marscopone cream. I personally would've loved some more chunky pecans inside or even a pecan frangipane and this would've been on another level.
