Have you been wanting to work together but don’t know how? Here is an easy step by step guide to help you through the process!
✨1✨ Reach out about starting a project through email or fill out the contact form on our website! DMs on any of our social media platforms get lost so we only give quotes & communicate through email.
✨2✨ Once you email we will look at your project and tell you upholstery costs and how much fabric your project will need.
✨3✨ We have our clients supply their fabrics so we both know you love it! We can help you with the search and selection process!
✨4✨ When you have your fabric we will add your name to our waitlist and work you into the schedule. When your name gets close to the top of the waitlist we will schedule a drop off.
✨5✨ You’ll then bring your project & fabric to the Thready Or Knot studio!
✨6✨ *the Thready magic happens here*
✨7✨ When your project is almost done we will email you an invoice for you to pay online.
✨8✨ As your invoice goes out we will also plan a time for you to pick up. Your invoice has to be paid before you can take your project home.
✨9&10✨ take your project home & enjoy! (Also start picking out your next project)
🧵 Can’t wait to work with you! 💖

I have been so lucky to work with the incredible clients I have over the years. I have been booked and busy & beyond grateful since I took the leap to do Thready Or Knot full time in 2018.
To be trusted with your furniture has a huge effect on me and I don’t take it lightly.
With that being said, to honor the craftsmanship and attention each project requires I am closing my books and transitioning to a waitlist model. I will be reopening my books in August and booking clients for 2-3 months before closing my books again.
I have hired a project manager to help me get organized and elevate your experience with me! I know I’ve been chaotic for awhile and it’s just not cute anymore. I can’t wait to have a legit timeline for my clients!
If you’d like to work together, inquiries will be added to an active waitlist. You can be added to that waitlist by either filling out the form linked in my bio or emailing me.
If you’ve reached out and we have been in conversation about a piece, I will be honoring that and you’ll remain at the top of the list. All new inquiries will be taken in order from today forward.
Thank you all for your continued support, patience, and love for my craft. Change is an unavoidable part of life that should be celebrated as a form of transformation & every change is an opportunity to create something beautiful.
I look forward to a future of transforming together! 💛🧵
We completely restyled these club dining chairs, replaced foam, tore off skirts, showed some leg, and I’ll be posting more details next week!
Fabric from @thefabricfactoryokc
Project for @kelli_lynns
“Sitflip” has now been rebranded as “Shitflip” courtesy of @dnagalleries & thats just the magic of collaboration! Lindsay, if you are reading this- don’t you dare edit that title!! I love it so much, you made it better😂💩🛹
My board & TONS of others are on display this month at @dnagalleries & @plazawalls ! Go check them out!
Behind the scene of my piece “sitflip” for the @dnagalleries birthday skateboard show!
When I saw the call for artists I instantly knew I wanted to transform a board into a footstool! With that, i heavily leaned into keeping the footstool looking like a true skateboard. I went to LE Acker for big castors that would imitate the trucks of a board but supersized them so that the footstool would be a height you’d want to put your feet on while sitting in a chair. The fabric is a mix of vintage deadstock tweed and black vinyl that I cut to look like flames. The cushion is fixed to the board with buttons.
My personal skateboarding career was verrryyy short lived. When traveling in Spain back in 2023, I broke my arm while attempting to skateboard for my first time (at the age of like 27 😂). I was on the board one second and the next second I was not (swipe —> to see me in the Spanish clinic with a fresh cast). Sitflips are what I’m sticking to now in my retirement. You’re not hardcore unless you live hardcore 🤘🛹🤕
This show opening TONIGHT may 7th 6-9pm! Hope to see you there!
These pillow top cushions give me the same feelings as when I look at a serene Monet painting 🖼️🌷& the new foam will have my client’s butts feeling serene as well!
I replaced the foam and added cotton so that these cushions are fluffed back up and ready to host big dinner parties! We also repaired some broken wood pieces and you can’t even tell!
These chairs are like nothing you coukd ever find at a big box store. Completely unique, vintage & custom!

This piano bench cushion is about to inspire some longer playing sessions 🎶✨
We decided to change the old pad out for new 2” foam and made a box cushion instead of a pillow. This fabric is incredible & I’m in love with the finished product!
