Threadline is a documentary storytelling movement.
We partner with grassroots organizations to document care, service, and the people who hold communities together.
This is the foundation of our work.

Feeling lots of gratitude and excitement for the different projects that have been going on over the past month, and especially for recently wrapping up our last set of interviews for the Seed of Change campaign with @threadlinemovement and @project_rootsaz .
For our final interview we met with Troy of @truegardenaz in Mesa, AZ. Troy has been growing using vertical tower gardens for years, and has had a hand in revolutionizing the way we can farm vegetables sustainably, even in the middle of dry, hot desert like the Phoenix Metro area.
Thank you to the amazing crew who have made this project come to life so far. I’m excited to get to editing all this footage.

This month, we’re honoring Black-led organizations across Arizona who are strengthening our communities every single day: through economic empowerment, food access, advocacy, and collective action. (@azc4c , @project_rootsaz , @basearizona )
Black leadership is community infrastructure. ✊🏾✊🏾
From economic empowerment to food access to civic power, these organizations are not reacting. They are building.

Lately, it feels like everything is happening at once.
Heavy news. Real fear. At the same time, people are showing up for one another in powerful ways.
When we let go of either/or thinking, we make room for something truer: both grief and hope, both harm and care.
This is a reminder that service doesn’t disappear in hard times. It deepens.

This is a moment from Unseen Hands (2025), our pilot documentary with Tres Islas Orphanage Fund, who have served children and caregivers in Mazatlán for four decades.
Here, we hear reflections on how children arrive at the orphanage and a reminder that the most beautiful part of this work is not what is lost, but the love that remains present. 🤝

Things can feel uncertain right now.
That’s real.
This post is a reminder that care is already in motion, held by people and organizations who show up every day.
We are not starting from nothing.
Support exists. Belonging exists.
And we’re committed to helping make that care easier to find. ❤️

When we try to define what service is, we keep arriving back at the same place: the people who choose to devote their lives to others. 🤝
Not only in moments of crisis, but in the long stretch of days that follow.
Not for recognition, but because the real impact is measured in moments.
