Going to the opening of “the myth of the normal” last night at the MassArt Art Museum really helped to remind me why I got into the arts in the first place. The mural by @vise_1_boston is an incredible piece, keep an eye out if you are on Huntington ave.

I don't post often, but I wanted to share some images of @daniel_anguilu 's new mural at Northeastern University. After kicking off the Public Art Initiative at Northeastern nearly a decade ago, Daniel returned to campus to paint a new mural at the same location. Inspired by author Gabriel García Márquez's 100 Years of Solitude, Daniel's style of magical realism captures how the meaning of the book has changed for the artist since he painted the first mural in 2014 and reflects on how García Márquez’ work is more relevant now than ever.

My submission for this week’s #doithome prompt. Doodle. I really need to do more life drawing, my hand is very disconnected from my eye right now.

My submission for this week’s #doithome prompt by Carrie Mae Weems. “Face the daily force... and remember to dream” I stood in support of the demonstration over the recent demolition of the Roxbury Love mural by Ricardo Gomez which was removed to make way for a new apartment complex. The Cruz Companies has committed to work with the artists to re-commission a mural at or near the existing location after hearing feedback from the community, showing the power of public art to become an integral part of a community’s life.
