Few months ago I was invited to join this incredible project, I found myself on stage with extraordinary musicians, performing to a sold-out audience of enthusiastic young Israelis who embraced Arabic music. This time I witnessed thousands of people protesting against the Israeli government. Talking to Palestinians, I felt they saw Israelis differently, recognizing that not everyone supports this extremist regime. I saw a glimmer of hope, something I rarely felt about Israel/Palestine. Now, I’m heartbroken in unimaginable ways, but I believe one thing. The architects of this war aimed to crush our hope in humanity & peace. They wanted to traumatize another generation just to keep the cycle of violence. In recent years recording sessions have become something I mostly do alone, remotely or only with an Artist/Producer.. Luckily, my good friend @lowswing_studio always insists on recording live, preferably straight to tape. These sessions are always the most memorable ones.
