This year has been a literal rollercoaster with really big lows and really big highs.
One of the biggest lows(that I feel comfortable sharing iver here) that I've had this year is that I stopped streaming on Twitch together with not wanting to play the guitar at all(more of that later). I know that I stopped streaming all of a sudden, and I really regret that I didn't do a goodbye stream. I really wasn't doing well mentally at the time and I needed to stop. Will I return some day? Maybe. I still need to figure out what I want to do about my musical career. Speaking of which...
This year has been the year where I have played the least guitar since I started playing back in 2009. For several months I have been struggling to find the motivation to play. Slowly throughout the year I have been reconnecting with the instrument that used to give me so much joy by playing songs that have some kind of meaning to me or by bands that I really admire(yes I know.... You are all tired of the Lunatic Soul videos(?)). Slowly I'm getting back to playing more often, and I'm motivated to create new mysic. Hopefully that will happen this year.
Some of the biggest highs of the year happened at work. This year I have grown soooo much professionally in my live sound career. For starters I started doing monitors for bands more consistently, where I have done monitors to bands like The Aristocrats, Michale Graves(ex Misfits), Asspera(my guitar teacher's band), to name a few. I also did FOH for the first time around August.
What I can say is that I'm finishing this year in a better place than where I started it. Of course that there are more things that happened that made this year in some ways better and in others worse. The lesson that I learnt this year is that I have to trust myself more, and pay attention to my gut when things go sideways. The following pictures/videos are snippets of what this year has been for me.

Totally mindblown after @nickjohnstonmusic 's masterclass. Had a great time watching him play one of my favourite songs from him "Atomic Mind".
I also got the chance to ask him about how he makes an album. If he decides on a concept for the album or if he just gets several songs with the same kind of vibe. He ended telling us that Remarkably Human is kind of a concept album based on a person dreaming, thats why of the voice saying "it was a terrible nightmare" at the beginning of the album.
Something that really stayed with me of something that he said was: "I don't fight with the techniques I struggle to play"(I'm paraphrasing here). Kind of a similar thing that I heard Steve Vai say once, "don't focus in what you cannot play". (Nick)"It's OK if you can't play that John Petrucci solo, just focus in your own thing". And he is totally right, find a way to play your instrument that works for YOU. That way, you will find your own voice and make you sound different to everyone else.
I got the chance to exchange picks with him. I was quite surprised by the type of picks he uses, for some reason I thought he used smaller and thicker picks. When I gave him my pick I told him that dunlop doesn't make the type of pick that I want so basically I just shape my own using a specific model of their picks. He then replied "Oh cool! So this pick could be your own signature pick some day!".
Last but not least, I also got recognized for the first time by a Twitch viewer!! It was sooo freaking cool to meet someone who knows me from Twitch. Thank you @lucasjackson2244 for saying hi!!
Thank you @nickjohnstonmusic@schecterguitarsofficial@importmusicargentina and @emc.argentina for making this masterclass to happen, you guys rock!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
