Images of the LA Palisades fire taken on Tuesday, Jan 7th at 7:30pm, when it was 1.2k acres. As of today, it has burned over 20,400 acres, causing nearly 200,000 people to evacuate, being one of the most destructive fires in LA history. As we are posting, the fire is only 8% contained. Not to mention the other 14,000 acres burned by the Eaton, Kenneth, and Sunset fires that are still active… And it’s not even fire season yet. We took these photos from the Venice Beach pier. Where we’re from, we’ve never seen anything like it. It’s wild to think that we went from seeing the fires in California to being snowed in on the east coast the very next day.
Airbnb is offering free stays for those affected at Airbnb.org.
