Our handmade plates found their home at Nisei, Chef David Yoshimura’s Michelin-starred restaurant in SF. He named the plate “Hiroko” after his grandmother—a tribute we’re honored by. It’s moving to see our work used to serve modern Washoku cuisine with such care.

The Japanese pottery-making process has three core stages: shaping, decorating, and firing.
However, there are so many other steps in the process that are often overlooked.
In this video, we capture glimpses of our unloading day.
This unloading day started early, as we had pieces that needed to be shipped before the end of the year, along with a large commissioned piece that required extra cooling time.
