Those beautiful ladies were part of the thobe show in Malaysia, I taught them alot about Palestine, those young beautiful ladies asked many questions, and presented thobes beautifully and meanwhile we were getting ready in the dressing room, they made me do this trend dance with them.

A beautiful and hands-on morning at the 𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗭 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣: Palestinian Embroidery, led by Palestinian Thobe Consultant and activist @thobnah alongside @yafaatef , held at The Grey Box, @gmbb.kl
Participants were introduced to Tatreez, the traditional art of Palestinian embroidery, learning not only stitching techniques but also the history and symbolism carried within each pattern of the thobe. Through every motif and cross-stitch, the session opened up stories of land, identity, and cultural memory.

الاستدامة مش فكرة جديدة علينا،
هي كانت دايمًا جزء من حياتنا اليومية بدون ما نسميها “استدامة”. كبرنا على ستاتنا و اجدادنا بمارسو الاستدامة و بعلمونا اياها.
طول عمرنا بنلبس القطعة و لما تقدم بنقصها و بنحولها لقطعة جديدة و بنرجع نصممها و نلبسها بروح مختلفة.
القطعة كانت تعيش أكثر من عمر،وتتنقل من استخدام لاستخدام،ومن شخص لشخص،كأنها بتحمل حكايتها معها.
الاستدامة الحقيقية يمكن مش بالشراء الأقل فقط،
بل بالقدرة إننا نشوف قيمة الأشياء مرة ثانية،
ونعطيها فرصة جديدة للحياة.

الشَّطوة” هي غطاء رأس تراثي نسائي فلسطيني مشهور خصوصًا في منطقتَي بيت لحم وبيت جالا.�تُلبس مع الثوب الفلسطيني التقليدي، وتتميّز بأنها مزينة بقطع معدنية وزخارف وعملات فضية و لاحقاً ذهبية أحيانًا، وكانت تدل قديمًا على المكانة الاجتماعية والوضع المادي للعائلة.
في الزيّ التقليدي لمنطقة بيت لحم، تُعد الشطوة من أفخم أغطية الرأس الفلسطينية، وغالبًا تُصنع على هيئة طربوش أو قاعدة صلبة مغطاة بالقماش المخمل أو المطرّز، ثم تُثبت عليها العملات والحُلي المعدنية. The Shatweh from Beit Jala
