FASHION SENSE : a series
Workshop based studio sessions exploring the symbiotic relationship between fashion and movement.
Introducing our first collaborator @nozomi_yamanami
Garment 1: Cut-out Trench Coat
âA bold back cut-out is developed from the idea of a flip book, capturing movement frame by frame. Designed to encourage layering and interaction.â
Garment 2: Paged Motion Half Pants
âLayered panels inspired by turning pages translate movement into segments, unfolding rhythmically with each motion.â

FASHION SENSE
In a dimension where bizarre beauty and personal sensory perception co-exist, âFashion Senseâ is an abstract interdisciplinary contemporary dance piece. Inviting the dancers/models to explore their agency through a costume-led practice, the garments act as both a statement and mode of discovery. âFashion Senseâ celebrates the spectacularity of the fashion show whilst using the garments as stimuli to unlock movement potential. âFashion Senseâ urges spectators to share the performerâs sensory exploration whilst immersing them into the world of eclectic and eccentric haute couture.
