A few weeks ago, I went up to Québec for the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec—the biggest one-day cycling race in North America—to see why @tudorwatches , a brand known for diving watches and steel sports icons, has decided to start a cycling team. As a lifelong fan of the sport, getting to watch some of the world’s best riders race in person was unreal—and the day got even better when @tudorprocycling ’s Julian Alaphilippe accelerated up the final climb and took the win. Head to @hodinkee to read the full story and see all the photos from the event.

Eight days in England wasn’t enough

Friday morning, I was sitting on Deansgate in Manchester having an espresso and much to my astonishment, Phil Foden walked by me. The night before, I saw him on the pitch in a Champions League fixture against Napoli, assisting Erling Haaland on the first goal to open City’s Champions League campaign. Seeing my first Champions League match, under the lights at the Etihad, was a dream come true. The next day, I had the ambitious idea of visiting two of England (and the world’s) most famous stadiums—Anfield and Old Trafford. Liverpool were playing Everton at 12:30, Manchester United playing Chelsea at 5:30. The timing gave me a glimmer of hope that this rather (extremely) ambitious (and borderline crazy) idea was possible. The only thing that I didn’t take into my plan was the torrential rain that happened all day. After the Merseyside Derby concluded, I had to run two miles (well, I didn’t HAVE to run, but it was the fastest way…) to make the train to take me back to Manchester where I started the day. I made it to my seat at Old Trafford at 5:15, fifteen minutes before kickoff to watch a very fun and scrappy match underneath more biblical rains. To make this all the more difficult, I had to be on the 8:15 train to London that night to pick up @martha.mcdonnell from the airport the next morning. As I sat on the three hour train to London that night, beside a group of Chelsea supporters who had no doubt been drinking heavily all day and weren’t going to let a three hour train ride stop them from continuing, I couldn’t help but wonder, was this my greatest idea ever, or one of my dumbest?

A couple of weeks ago, I had the incredible honor and privilege to represent @hodinkee at an event in London with Roger Federer at the stunning Old Bond Street Rolex boutique in London. It was certainly a career highlight for me, and a day I’ll never forget. And yes, if you were wondering, he’s just as charismatic, charming, and humble as you think he is/want him to be. And yes, he was wearing a Land-Dweller. Thanks to @jamesmaloneshoots for the photo.

Last weekend, I joined @moserwatches for an unforgettable weekend at the Montreal Grand Prix. As a long time fan of the sport, it was my first GP, and it certainly exceeded my high expectations! From getting a tour of the circuit, to listening to the team radio in the garage, and having a glass of champagne in the paddock—it was dream come true to experience the magic that is F1 with my own two eyes. Head on over to @hodinkee for the full photo report, and stay tuned for an interview with Mr Pierre Gasly himself, coming soon! Thanks to the teams at @moserwatches , @gigantemnyc , and @alpinef1team for having me.

It’s been a fun and busy couple of weeks here at @hodinkee , both on the web and in person. Last week marked the release of Volume 14 of Hodinkee Magazine, which we celebrated with friends at Watches of Switzerland in Hudson Yards. The week prior, I was in California for two events alongside our partners at UBS, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and A. Lange & Söhne. What a way to start the summer—great people, great watches, and memorable moments all around.

Much of my brief two months at @hodinkee was spent preparing for the biggest week of the year in the watch world, Watches and Wonders. Yet, no amount of preparation could have readied me for one of the best, most unforgettable, busiest, and most exciting weeks of my work career and life (personified in the photo above). Now that we’re a couple of weeks removed, and the steady espresso buzz has subsided, I was able to organize some thoughts on the week, which are now live over on Hodinkee!

Monday at The Masters—a truly surreal experience. It was my first time in Augusta, and I can definitively say, it lives up to the hype in every way possible. The course, the hospitality, the experience—everything was perfect and just how I dreamed it would be. We walked all 18 holes and saw firsthand how magical this place is in every way possible. I can’t wait to go back.

After consulting for a few different companies over the last few years, I’m thrilled to go back in-house to what is truly a dream job for me—Deputy Editor of Editorial at @hodinkee . I’ve admired Hodinkee for well over a decade now, and to have the opportunity to work for a company I’ve respected for so long in an industry that I love is quite simply a dream come true. I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement to get started. 2025 is going to be a big year! A big thank you to @adamschoenberg , @jestacey , and @benclymer for your belief in me!
