This is Array Space, looking exactly like an avant garde music performance place should. Home of legendary trailblazers CCMC and series such as @michaelpalumbo_ Exit Points and @audiopollinationto - check out their next show on May 8 with @twintwa @janeljonesmusic and more. Also host to excellent punk gigs such as @_resthaven_ on May 15. 155 Walnut, just south of Queen near Trinity Bellwoods. Go!

Periodic reminder that you can print thisweek's listings, fold them up, carry them in your wallet, and amaze people who say things like, "anyone playing tonight"?

Looking forward to this @ralph_coffeejazzpoetry show at @emissionsrecordshop_toronto for the punk rock yes, but secretly hoping known Crash n Burn attendee William Gibson will show up in a background

Spent a lot of time at Soundscapes and @rotatethis staring at the ticket board. One of them was sorted alphabetically by band, one of them chronologically by date. Maybe @pharmacybar416 'members which was which. Anyway our Future gigs page offers both Sortage Techniques, plus our very own innovation, sort by Venue. So now you don't need to take a cab from College down to Queen to switch sort orders.

Another vital venue with a fundraiser - @hughsroomlive is raising $ for a major accessibility project. Time-sensitive, as construction has a deadline to unlock some govt funding. /support/ Who's playing there these days? Among many others, the genius who wrote Up Up and Away, Wichita Lineman, Galveston, MacArthur Park, By the Time I Get to Phoenix and so many more: Mr Jimmy Webb @jimmywebbmusic

@tranzac292 is running a modest fundraiser and is close to its $8k goal. We know that anyone following us is already doing what they can to support the local scene. But if you can scrape up a few more bucks or sweet talk your wealthy aunt or well to do boss... Go to /Donate

The odometer rolled over this week: 10,000+ shows listed since we began in August 2024. From solo gigs to multiband lineups, maybe an average of 5 players per show - so let's call it 50,000 musician nights. And at least that many shifts for bar staff, sound techs, and general crews. From the tiniest spots to History and Massey Hall - shall we say 100 people per gig? That's 1,000,000 music fans. Won't even guess how many beers consumed. But it's one rocking music scene!
