I definitely thought I had done all the grieving I had to do back when I gave notice. I went though all those stages like anger and denial; I thought I was at acceptance. But then I sat down to make this video (which I had to do twice 🫠) and I got to look back at all my videos of the space. And you know which were my favorite?

Having a wedding coordinator at your wedding can be the difference between hosting your wedding and being a guest at your wedding. There is almost literally nothing I wouldn't do to take care of a couple and I've curated a team full of #unreasonablehospitality minded people to do the same.

@hrnextdoor032826 invited me as their guest at @sitebcommunity@fountainheadnetwork and I knew I was going to have to do a site visit video because I have a wedding booked here later this year! This is such a fun space for a wedding that is a little offbeat, a couple looking for something that is the opposite of a hotel Ballroom (and if this is you, you are my people, hit me up) the space is almost fully customizable; you can take out any and all furniture, including the giant Airstream trailer. There's access to a kitchen, and string lights are already strung. I also love that they have this little games area with air hockey and ping pong, but if you don't want that you can have it removed. Most importantly they are pet friendly, so if you want your pup involved in your wedding, you can absolutely include them here. Episode 3 of #weddingplannerweddingrated and because of software bugs this took me WAY too long to put together, but I'm determined!!
Anyone else have a hard month sleeping March 16 - April 23 while we didn't have #brooklyn99 on Netflix? No? Just me? 99 has been my bedtime show for at least 6 years now and I know it inside and out, but I went back and watched this episode to rate it and my biggest take away is Boyle is a secret wedding planner. My second takeaway is every good show has a wedding for their season 5 finale (except Schitts for some reason). And third is "wait they put all that fricken effort in for a permit for a block party and yet they suddenly don't need one for this impromptu wedding held in the middle of the street?! Get IA in here now!"

I'm working with a couple on their wedding design so I put together a mood board today for them.
I spent all this time filming my process and editing a video for me to upload and then edit in another software, but I couldn't make any of the softwares I use work (tiktok, Capcut, nor insta) so instead, I'm just showing off the product. The couple are bookish, love LOTR, and want to incorporate larkspur and daffodils. So this is what I put together. We're in a pretty dark venue so we're going to roll with the jewel tones (also complimenting the colours on old hard cover books) and bringing in some quiet references to Tolkien.
When @megkristinaphotos reached out to me to be her wedding coordinator AND florist, I have litterally NEVER been so damn flattered. Never. There is never a bigger compliment than a wedding professional who works with other wedding professionals choosing YOU to take care of them on their wedding day. Meg and I are kindred souls and I am so glad that I got to join her, Tez, and of course their pupper, Lima at @brixandmortarweddings for their celebration. And honestly, their weddings photos tell so much of their wedding story (we can't even be surprised by that because they hired @dylainaphotography )

Originally when I thought up this series, #weddingplannerweddingrated I thought that I'd start with all the Grey's Anatomy weddings (theres like 100) then move onto a new show, but in my postit note wedding episode I got a request for Cece and Schmidt and I thought, what the heck; let's open it up!
Before making these episodes I do go back and watch the episode so that I can fairly judge and despite having watched New Girl through a few times (like more than 3) I couldn't remember this wedding for the life of me. Honestly once Jess did her jury duty, the show became less memorable. Anyway, I'm so glad I got to go back and watch this. Man, do they cram a lot into a 30 minute comedy slot!
I want to highlight again my two issues with this episode:
1. Schmidt got on a freaking plane on his wedding day. There is NEVER a good enough reason for this unless you are with your partner. Nope nope nope
2. The douche bag jar would not smash like this. Its a mason jar. Stick a wine glass or a light bulb in there for a good glass smashing effect. Did not happen, I cannot be convinced otherwise.
I started watching Grey's the same month I quit my last "real" job. My love of Grey's started when I started ThistleBEA so it's only fitting that this #newseries starts off with the bazillion Grey's weddings.
So here's #weddingplannerweddingrated; I'm excited to dig into more weddings of fictional characters we love and hate! Who's wedding should I do next?
Who's ready for an incredibly boring #hustleforthehoneymoon? Week 14 was in December while I was busy remerching the entire store every week because I enjoy the pain evidently. But because I can see into the future, I can say with authority that it gets soooo much better.

This week has been tough and it culminated with me being up all night last night with a fever. Luckily, I have an amazing team who stepped up and help me to get out on time despite feeling like death.
Saying goodbye to this chapter is bittersweet. Im excited to be able to refocus and I really like where the business is going for 2026; but we poured so many resources into trying to make 2276 Elgin work. I'm so greatful for the learning experience and I'm glad to be done. But woof. Its still hard.
