Gero is a popular onsen town in Gifu prefecture. Named after the sound of a frog’s croak “gero gero”, Gero’s town mascot is the humble frog. Scattered throughout the town are dozens of small frog statues and frog themed man hole covers.
Gero onsen have been in operation for hundreds of years, with references dating back the Nara period.
Gero is a nice place to spend time relaxing in a hot bath.
This mix is dedicated to the frogs of Gero, their love of forward thinking dance music and considerable hospitality.
