How it all began. I never set out to start a fashion label. I wanted to create the dressing-up box of my dreams, the shop that I would LOVE to walk into. Born from a belief in the transformative power of clothing to make you feel confident, alive, and the best version of yourself.
From a 3 metre wide festival stall at Glastonbury in 2009, to dressing Taylor Swift, here’s my story. Featuring mud, wellies, sequins, and my faithful chaise longue.
If you’re new here, welcome to my world. A customer once described my pieces as “wearable happiness” and I’ve never been able to describe it better than that. You can browse and shop at rosabloom.com - we ship worldwide.
Thank you to everyone who wears and loves these clothes, you bring it all to life.
Rosa x
P.S. Almost forgot the story of the name: I was born Rosa but the Bloom part was a nickname given to me by my friend Tamara. When I started my festival stall, Rosa Bloom felt like the perfect fit for the name. Fast forward 10 years and when I married my partner, instead of taking his surname (because, patriarchy) we decided to both change our surnames to Bloom, and start a new family name. Our son was the first official Bloom in our family because he was born before we had legally changed our names, but now we are a family of four official Blooms ❤️
I never imagined that this is what would happen when I started out on this journey over 15 years ago. Here is the story of Rosa Bloom in 2 minutes.
This little film, shot in Cornwall and Bali, was two years in the making. I wanted to show you the faces (and hands) behind the clothes. This is our process. Our purpose.
It is an absolute joy and privilege to work with these talented makers, their skill is evident in our pieces - if you know, you know.
Every. Sequin. Stitched. By hand.
Organic cotton fabrics. Transparent manufacturing. Slow fashion. Designed and made by people who care deeply.
This is Rosa Bloom.
Thank you for wearing these clothes for the best of times in your lives, and being part of the story.
If you’re new here, thank you for reading this far! I’m Rosa, and yes this is actually me, not a social media team, or AI. Hence why my IG posts are pretty sporadic 😜 - because I’m usually busy with the million other things involved in running a small business.
You can discover our ready-to-ship handmade pieces at rosabloom.com
Big shout out to Penny, Fi, and Sam, my team here in Cornwall - it was so hard to fit everything I wanted to into this very short film, but these three people are integral to everything. I am so grateful for you all ❤️
An update. And a sneak preview on the last slide! Forgot to say also: a new pink sequin IS coming, but will launch a little later in the summer. First to launch will be Silver and Quartz, coming very soon.
Thank you 🤍
Well that was hectic and very very fun! So many people through the doors on Saturday for the studio sale, we had a queue out the front and people stripping off in the corridors to try pieces on! Colour and chaos everywhere, so many lovely moments with shoppers encouraging each other to try on and telling each other how great they looked.
Overheard on the shop floor:
“It’s my first time seeing the clothes in real life, i didn’t realise how soft the fabric inside would be”
“You should definitely get both” (One shopper to another, when they were trying to choose between two pieces)
“Arghhhh I want it all!”
“I have wanted one of these pieces for years”
“Finally got my first Rosa Bloom!”
“My bum does look big in this but I DON’T CARE!”
Thank you so much to everyone who came (one customer told me she drove over 2 hours to come) it was such a buzz, so utterly joyful to see so many people trying on and loving the clothes, it’s easy to forget that feeling when we spend most of our time tucked away in our studio working away on it all behind the scenes. Thank you for reminding me why I do this. Feeling honoured and grateful and humbled.

“LOVE these videos, would definitely miss them. They’re what helped me know exactly how it would look on my type of body. I regularly say I wish every brand did this”
“Actually really like these! It’s great to see the product fit on different body shapes when moving! And a side note, my favourite times are usually when I’m in Rosa Bloom”
“Yes! I loooooove your videos - they truly help get a feel for the product. BUT if they are too costly for you to make I honestly don’t think it would decrease your sales if you stopped doing them. Rosa Bloom goodies are so incredible they essentially sell themselves!”
“Also. Keep doing you. Love Rosa”
“I do! So helpful to see how the sequins reflect if I’m stuck between colours and also - the HUGEST shout out for having real life models - I’m a 12/14 on top and 18/20 on the bottom and never ever see anyone even approaching my size or shape on clothes websites. Seeing these videos makes all the difference in seeing how I might actually look. Love them, thank you for showing your incredible clothes worn by real people and for making me feel like I count too”
Too busy to make fancy Reels so here are some quick clips from the studio, we are firing on all cylinders and working hard! So many decisions to make, problems to iron out, lists, emails, website issues to fix, it is ALL going on right now 😅 Every now and then trying to remember to take a deep breathhhhhhhh … maybe this is your reminder too if you need it?! ❤️

My dad loves to tell a story about how, on a family trip to Peru when I was young, we were hiking up Machu Picchu, and fed up with walking (the four-year-old me clearly oblivious to the wonder of this ancient marvel) I sat down on a rock and announced “I want to go home and play with my dressing-up clothes”.
It seems the love of dressing up was in my bones from a very young age (my mum likes to say I “never grew out of it”). I now have two children of my own, and if it’s taught me anything, it’s that so much of who we are is within us from the day dot.
What is it though that I am so drawn to, about the act of dressing up?
The sensory experience is definitely part of it - the deliciousness of flowing silks, delicate lace, clouds of ruffles, shimmering metallics, the magpie-like attraction to anything that glints and glitters.
But I think most of all it is the feeling of transformation. That moment when you put something on and it feels so good, it lights you up from within. Looking in the mirror, eyes sparkling, walking a little taller. Becoming a different character.
Stepping out of time, entering a parallel universe where the identities that get attached to us in the course of daily life (busy mother, dishwasher emptier, to-do list writer, school run taxi driver, reliable employee…) can slip away, and someone a little more spontaneous, playful, and light-footed can emerge.
It is a privilege to have been able to build a brand where I get to create beauty and then send it out into the world for you to wear; to spread joy through the transformative power of dressing up. Yep, never grew out of it.
If you’re new here, my name is Rosa, and I create clothes that a customer once described as “wearable happiness”✨ My ready-to-wear sequin garments and bold prints are available in sizes UK 6 - 20+, and ship worldwide.

I have a favour to ask... if you have bought & loved my clothes, please could you leave a review on Trustpilot? Just head to Trustpilot and search 'rosa bloom'.
We have a tonne of 5-star reviews on the website (THANK YOU!) but Trustpilot ones are good for boosting our visibility in search engines... you can help us pop up above the big brands and really really help my small business ✌
THANK YOU X

Doing a deep dive into my 2016 photos is so surreal, it feels both an age ago and no time at all.
So much happened in that one year, snippets captured in blurry iPhone photos and the occasional shaky video.
Rosa Bloom was about to take a big leap with a re-brand and new website, and I was on the brink of some big changes in my personal life.
If you’re new here, this is a snapshot in the history of my brand, built from the ground up with a whole lot of sweat, love, and tears! Many things have changed, some haven’t - I’m still pouring my energy into creating the most sparkly, comfortable, feel-good clothing of your dreams.
Stick around to see what’s in store for 2026✨
