We are so back. @thisisquails (she/her) is a singer, producer, and DJ from Ngunnawal Country and the founder of Wovxn. Since emerging in 2016, her music has permeated international TV (Lucifer, Catfish), national radio (Triple J, FBi). Quails’ original tracks weave shadowy R&B with future-facing breakbeat energy and luminous synths, while her collaborations with @route8silvio , @2xm_nz and @tellus_aus stretch her creative vision across both borders and genres. Quails’ DJ sets feature bass-laden electronica, breakbeats, halftime rhythms and the raw pulse of Brazilian funk. Her past appearances at Groovin the Moo and the official John Talabot afterparty in Ngunnawal cement her reputation for sets that are raw, transportive, and uninhibited.

As a DJ, Quails has played festivals and local club nights including Groovin the Moo and the official John Talabot afterparty. Their sets are a reflection of their own productions - music for the liminal hours: introspective, otherworldly, kinetic and uninhibited.

I'm so devastated to learn of the passing of my former manager, AP. We worked together for a bit over a decade and although sometimes we'd bicker like an old married couple, I have nothing but respect and thanks for this man: thank you for believing in me as an artist, for spending your time on me. Thank you for helping me launch my music across waters and place it in movies and TV shows. Thank you also for effectively linking me in with the man who is now my husband. I know AP had a great impact on so many people and this news is so shocking and sad. Rest in power AP ❤️
