Suprabhatha(EP) drops tomorrow
For decades south India and South Indians woke up to MS Subbulakshmi’s Suprabhathas. Not a single day went by without listening to her on the stereo every morning before going to school as kids. This album is a trace back to our roots in Mangalore. It is who we are, where we come from and what we are made of. From the church choirs of Mangalore to the morning stotras playing at the iconic kadri temple . From fish fry and Kori rotti to late night yakshaganas, this EP is an attempt to capture our roots sonically.
Our home is our identity and we are incredibly proud to be Mangaloreans. This EP is made with a lot of love and hopefully transcends us and finds its own place in the world.
Manase, our next single from Suprabhatha is a song about love and its journey.
It features two Yakshagana characters taking part in the storytelling that is shot across the rivers and oceans in and around Mangalore.
The river eventually joins the ocean, it just takes a little bit of time!

Manase, our next single from Suprabhatha is out now!
Yakshagana is an art form from southern Karnataka and we’ve always loved the vibrant colors and emotions attached with it. The portraying of different characters from stories we’ve heard from our childhood are core memories the three of us have.
Manase is a song about love and the characters eventually meeting each other like the river joining the ocean. It’s about eternal love that is meant to be!
Shot across the beautiful seas and oceans in and around Mangalore.

Tulunaad or Mangalore is a coastal city in Karnataka.
Our song Seetha kalyana is shot across various locations in Mangalore. Its stories and sounds is what inspired us to make this music video.
An identity that we are proud to carry with us and in our art.

We put up a post some weeks back for a casting call for a music video. A lot of you responded and we planned an entire fake wedding scenario for the song.
Right from setting up a mantapa to the flowers and the attire, everything looked like a typical Mangalorean wedding!
Thank you to all the people who made the video for Seetha Kalyana look amazing.
Check out the entire video on YouTube.
Here’s what the camera saw versus what we saw while shooting the video.
