Production Designer Watch 🧩 : @chalewitdvibe The production design for Infinix “2 Sides of Me” AD was a world-building exercise, and because it centered around a main character, the first move was to understand the character and try to represent him in these spaces that showcased different areas of his life. This informed the style of dressing and the choices for the look and feel of the sets: simple and clean, with elegant traces of color. This exercise was interesting because it differed from my go-to maximalist approach, allowing for a fresh look at what’s possible in order to transform the spaces we were given. It was beautiful to pull back with clear intent on achieving a look and feel that aligned with the creative brief. This one was Difficult not because it was complex , on the contrary the brief was clear and simple . The difficulty came with the timing or in this case , the lack of it !! We had less than 24 hrs to fully plan and execute the art direction of this spot and boy it was a challenge but as a creative unit we put our best foot forward and did what had to be done . We say this cos it wouldn’t be humanly if we didn’t humanize our creative journey and experiences . This one thought us patience and composure even in the midst of a hurricane and we have learnt and grown from it .
