I was close to becoming a little bit disillusioned with the spiritual scene I was in when I wrote this song.
I would say that I've come out the other side now, with gratitude for what I've learned and experienced, but also with certainty that I lost my way a little bit in the soup of ideology.
I wrote this song when I was in the thick of it, feeling like there were parts of me that I was leaving behind in the name of spiritual advancement, or belonging to something. I wrote it as a reminder to myself that there's no part of us that's not holy, that doesn't belong. The parts that we don't have time for only go underground and fester, and keep us in that comfortable place of feeling like we're separate.

I loved making this; I asked Avery just to follow and film me walking through the re-wilded forest at La Briche, our home away from home where we've just recorded the new @tauandthedronesofpraise album. Where this video is filmed was a warehouse 20 years ago that collapsed, and now it's a new forest! Amazing reminder that nature will always persevere, and what's meant to be will be.
The theme of this song is, like many of my songs, the power of vulnerability: the of being your full bad self, no matter what you're going through. Featuring the gorgeous @taniarosewillis who also took my lead on the one-take wonders, even though she's much more of a pro than I am and if she has her way we'll make a proper video for the next one!

This is a song about trust — trusting that we’re where we’re meant to be, even when things are tough. I wrote it at the beginning of this decade, feeling how life on earth was about to enter a big spiritual shift — and how I’d felt I was waiting my whole life for this to happen. At the midpoint of the decade it feels good to release it, as a song of hope, a reminder that you’re needed here in your song.
Isn’t it miraculous that you incarnated at this time?
The video for this was recorded in one single shot, and one take, by my stubborn insistence that that was all I was gonna do, and my intuition was that it would be perfectly imperfect. It was, and it was magic beyond anything we could have orchestrated — a bit like life itself.
