Your body wants to keep you safe… But sometimes that means keeping you small. What if you felt safe enough to expand into the life you truly want? To feel the depth of pleasure you know your body is capable of feeling? Through gentle somatic work - including tools from Tantra, Taoism, embodiment practices and neuroscience - I help you release old patterns and stagnation, reconnecting you to your deepest desires, pleasure and truth. Two 1:1 coaching spaces opening in December. DM for details ✨

Dancing on a deserted beach celebrating the Gemini full moon with dear sister @sophiandthelements Feeling into my body as part of the vastness of the universe, the ocean and the sky. All the minor disappointments, hurt, and pleasures, too, that I’ve been carrying, melting away, ready to start anew ✨💛

@chisenhaledance 💚 Join us for the third of four evenings as part of our WTF: Greenhouse Takeover series! 💚 WTF: Greenhouse Towards nature and an anti-racist practice 📅 5th Sep, 7pm 📍 Chisenhale Dance Space 🎟️ FREE, booking essential 🔗 LINK IN BIO ✨ ‘Greenhouse’ is a 6 month long funded, bespoke development programme for eight Activators from our Artist Community who are Global Majority, and/or Disabled / Neurodivergent. It is primarily for artists who have the beginnings of an idea, project, production, or concept but need the creative support, skills development and time to help kickstart it. ------------------------------- 🗣️ Join us to hear from artists Valerie Ebuwa and Elizabeth Chan On Longing, Home and Belonging How can healing and restoration be found in nature when it is also a site of potential violence and harm? How can the body feel safe and at home in a place it has not been historically welcomed? This work is rooted in my own experiences growing up as a woman of colour in the English countryside, and in a desire to rediscover a sense of home and belonging in my body and in nature. The evening will begin with a short video diary of my practice, reflections and journey as I navigate these questions and attempt to find joy and healing in my relationship with the earth. Valerie and I will then lead participants through a guided workshop exploring nature and the body, bringing our two practices together: Valerie has been exploring going back to nature as a way of moving as part of an anti-racist practice and to break down hierarchical structures; Elizabeth has been exploring somatic movement and healing practices as a way of connecting more deeply with the earth and the body’s inner landscape. There will be time for questions and reflections at the end. @thisislizchan @valerie_ebuwa -------------------------------

Land Language Belonging Imbolc is here 🌱 Marking the midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox. It’s a time for planting seeds, awaiting the growth and new life to emerge in spring. How serendipitous to also have my first meeting with @chisenhaledance today who are supporting me through the first phase of a new project exploring the land, nature, language and belonging. Using somatic practices, dance, film and text; this is the first of a series of works centred around the English countryside and people of the Global Majority, and my own experience growing up on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. A journey towards reclaiming nature and the land. Towards finding joy, healing and belonging in relationship to the earth. Thank you to @alinahehehehe for capturing me dancing in the forest last autumn 🍂 📷

So happy to be performing with @musarcchoir after our collaboration with @artangel_ldn in the summer! Join us for an evening of music, poetry, art, food and hope 🌙 Posted @withregram@musarcchoir We are Participating 👉 Winter Konsert 2023, Sat 16 Dec 2023, 7–9pm, 25 Old Castle St E1. Musarc’s Winter Konsert 2023 opens with a performace of Zwiebelfäden, a multi-channel sound piece by Austrian electronic music pioneer Elisabeth Schimana that draws threads between the composer and six protagonists – Eliane Radigue, Pauline Oliveros, Beatriz Ferreyra, Heidi Grundmann, Maryanne Amacher and Helga de la Motte – whose heartbeats pulsate asynchronously as Laure Prouvost’s @studioprouvostsocialclub flags draw undulating lines through space with their slogans: Out of Rubbish Oui Grow. We Are Participating is an evening of entrainment, questions, assemblage, hope and poetry. The choir has been practicing social writing, which we will perform with the the audience using a technique derived from traditional Gaelic psalm singing. Patricia Auchterlonie @patriciaauchterlonie brings Hildegard von Bingen’s Vos antiqui sancti into the visceral universe of the choir. Birds call from a woody undergrowth in Lily Boulanger’s Sous Bois. The evening ends with a performance of Jennifer Walshe’s @milker_corporation The White Noisery, a ten-movement assemblage of sound, language and events last performed by Musarc at LCMF in 2019 – sliced from the full frequency band of what we call the world, in all its mediated strangeness, a social image, a bright illuminated sphere. The evening also marks Musarc’s inaugural performance with David Young. David was appointed Musarc’s new Director of Music this November from a stellar long-list of applicants with many of whom Musarc will develop new friendships and projects. We are Participating was conceived by Sam Belinfante with Joseph Kohlmaier and the ensemble. Booking Essential 👉 The doors to the auditorium open at 6pm. Members of the choir will be sharing free food and spiced drinks. Tickets via Musarc link in bio. Photos @yianniskatsaris Veerle Vercauteren

Beautiful collaboration. Thank you for having me @artangel_ldn @musarcchoir @cmmn_stance 💫 Posted @withregram@artangel_ldn Happening now: Jay Bernard presents an experimental performance informed by the memories of people across the UK from the post-Brexit landscape, meditating on how they and the country have changed in the last seven years. The performance asks how we can occupy the liminal space between a collective and a singular voice, to stand individually in one’s uniqueness whilst harmonising with others. This is particularly pertinent today, where lived experience is transformed into data points, then collected, processed, and manipulated by private companies. Here, the performance interrogates the ways in which qualitative research can be collectivised and communal. Over the course of the past week, the performers have come together to plan, share, cook, laugh, practise, and workshop the piece. Here are glimpses behind the scenes; moments that culminate in the performance taking place tonight. The Last Seven Years by Jay Bernard (@cmmn_stance ), presented in collaboration with @boldtendencies , is a prelude to a forthcoming digital commission by Artangel. The performance is devised and delivered in collaboration with @musarcchoir with cathectic_petals. Performers include @thisislizchan , @ilecg__ , @jeni_be_jeni , Joseph Kohlmaier, @lorenmck_ , Raphel Famotibe, @rozhinagh , @serenabraida , @temitope_ajosecutting and @thoboumon .
