A bit nervous to post this and will delete soon, but I wanted to express some gratitude without overthinking it.
This was from the other night after receiving an award in LA, more on that later when I get the pics😂. But over the past few weeks, I’ve seen firsthand what real community coming together looks like, over and over again.
I’m grateful to everyone who shows up for me and for each other. This entertainment/media game is not easy. Don’t let the optics fool you, this takes work, sacrifice, resilience, and a lot of people moving together with intention.
I truly believe when you build with pure intentions, things can flourish. I move with that mindset every day.
For all the love, support, collaboration, and belief… thank you. 🙏🏽

Growing up, she didn’t always make it easy but now I understand why. A large cup of tough love, mixed with empathy, a full tablespoon of discipline, topped with heart and the motivation to push me to be the best version of myself.
A single mother raising two boys with a spirit of non-defeat. She instilled so much in me while still allowing me to become who I wanted to be.
So today I thank her, and all my amazing friends who are mothers out there holding it down everyday. Much love and respect. 🙏🏽💐
