At the end of the day, you’re another day older, but at the end of this day I got to spend the evening at The Kennedy Center with my girl watching Les Miserables!!
Just completed the Brotherhood ceremony for the Order of the Arrow. Part of the journey involved reflecting on those who have influenced me as a leader.

In Chicago this week to pack shoeboxes with Operation Christmas Child and took some time to visit the Windy City! Looking over the ledge at Willis Tower, admiring the “Bean”, and enjoying some deep dish at Giordano's Pizza.

Dropped her off at college today. I will definitely miss that smiling face, but I can’t wait to see her realize her potential!! Have a great semester, Gracie!!
10 hours on the road today and we are home after 7 days of touring the South. Great to be able to spend this time with Grace before she heads off to college next month!!
Day 6 is in the books! Today we were on the road for about 5 hours, had lunch at the Irondale Cafe (the famous inspiration for the Whistle Stop Cafe in Fried Green Tomatoes), went to the art museum and used book/thrift stores, and ended with a nice dinner.
Tomorrow, we make the long drive home!!
Day 4 of our little road trip was spent in Cajun Country!! Paid respects at my grandparents resting place, visited with extended family that we haven’t seen in years, walked through downtown Lafayette, and shared a yummy dinner.
Tomorrow, we head to New Orleans!! Laissez les bons temps rouler!!
