✨ Meet the Team Thursday: Me & Christopher ✨
Building TBH Interior Design wasn’t just about creating beautiful spaces... it’s been about building our partnership, too.
I’m the creative visionary, leading design, client experience, and yes…sometimes drafting 14 versions of the same moodboard (sorry, not sorry).
Christopher is the fixer, the tech guru, the operations brain, and the one who reminds me that perfection has its limits.
Together, we’ve balanced family, business, and plenty of late-night conversations. From my corporate career to custom specs, I’m so proud of how far we’ve come, and grateful for all the homes and people our work touches.
Our most meaningful project so far? #tellurideestate—our first spec home, where we learned that great design truly sells homes. And that building a business with your spouse is equal parts challenge…and the best adventure ever.
Thanks for being part of the journey with us. 💙

👋🏼Allow me to reintroduce myself - my name is Vicky Blue, the principal designer at This Blue Home Interior Design based in Nolensville, TN. With a deep passion for crafting captivating spaces that seamlessly blend functionality and aesthetics, I bring a unique perspective to every project.
A little bit about me..I started my journey with a TV/film production degree, got my MBA from the University of Michigan, and spent years in the corporate world, even running a small cooking class business along the way. But through all of this, I always felt that spark for something more creative.
It wasn’t until I moved to Tennessee with my family and began pursuing home projects and DIYs that I realized my true passion - Interior Design. After helping a friend with her new home, my husband pushed me to take the leap, and the rest is history. Now, I’m pouring my heart and soul into creating spaces that people truly love.
My keen eye for detail, coupled with a profound understanding of design principles, allows me to transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary havens. I am also known for my collaborative approach and unwavering attention to client needs. Guiding clients through every step of the design process with professionalism and creativity is something I take immense pride in. From concept development to final installation, I am dedicated to delivering personalized designs that not only meet but exceed expectations.
My style? A blend of timeless classics with organic touches creating those “wow” moments while making sure there’s balance and flow throughout every space. I’m inspired by incredible designers like @alicelaneinteriors , @thelifestyledco and Shea Mcgee @studiomcgee

Given the task to create and elevate a tub moment? We’re on it. A simple arch, handmade tile, warm brass, and a view that does half the work for us. Calm, confident, and quietly powerful…
Another original TBH design. 🛁✨

A plaster hood is easy to request. It is much harder to execute well.
There is a difference between adding a trend and shaping architecture. In this kitchen, the hood was always meant to anchor the room, not dominate it. The curve was studied against the cabinetry lines. The stone movement was selected to feel warm, not busy. The surrounding finishes were intentionally restrained so the sculptural form could breathe.
This is where kitchens often go sideways. Too many bold decisions stacked together. A statement hood, a dramatic backsplash, heavy hardware, competing textures. Suddenly nothing feels special because everything is shouting.
Good design knows when to speak and when to stay quiet.
When one element carries visual weight, the rest must support it. Cabinet proportions. Appliance scale. Vent placement. Material tone. Even how natural light hits the curve throughout the day. None of that is accidental.
At TBH, we are not layering features. We are building cohesion. We think about how a space feels long after the photos are taken and long after the trend cycle moves on.
Anyone can choose a plaster hood. Not everyone can make it belong.

This is what happens when design is intentional from the start.
These oversized woven chandeliers were never an afterthought. They were part of the architectural vision. The scale anchors the two story volume. The spacing between the beams was studied. The texture brings warmth to the stone.
And then the contrast.
The dark woven fixture against creamy limestone. The softness of the Arcusstone mantle balancing the weight above. Organic meeting refined. Structure meeting softness. Every element holding the next in place.
At TBH we are not selecting pretty pieces. We are studying proportion, sightlines, material contrast, and how light lives in a space long after the photos are taken.
This is why builders continue to choose TBH. We elevate semi custom into something that feels fully designed.
Vision matters. Scale matters. Execution matters.

Another TBH design coming to life and this one makes me so happy. We wanted something special for this primary bath, so instead of keeping the checkerboard trend on the floor only, we carried it into the shower with marble tile. It creates such a beautiful visual moment and adds depth, warmth, and movement to the space.
The light oak vanity, brass details, and that sculptural tub bring softness and balance. Every choice in this home was intentional, from layout to finish, to make it feel classic but not predictable.
This is the part of design I love most. Taking something familiar and shifting it into something fresh. Unique, without trying too hard. Timeless, but definitely not boring.
More to come from this house soon. Franklin is getting a good one. 🤍

The last few months have stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. I had tough projects, tough decisions, and a few moments that reminded me that doing what I love is not protected from hard seasons, even after years in this business. Owning a business is not always pretty, and sometimes the behind-the-scenes takes more out of you than you want to admit.
After a much-needed reset over Thanksgiving, I’m stepping back into the work with a clearer head and a steadier heart. And today, on the coldest site visit morning, walking these spaces reminded me exactly why I do this.
Here’s a peek at what is coming together on one of our current builds:
• Laundry Room: Floor installed and looking incredible
• Exterior: My favorite brick and exterior combination to date
• Primary Bath: Porcelain walls, textured tile, and those high windows starting to sing
• Living + Kitchen: Layout taking shape and finishes lining up beautifully
• Powder Bath: An arched vanity concept we designed to make an under-the-stairs space feel intentional and special
Grateful for the progress, the lessons, and the reminder that even the hard seasons cannot overshadow the joy of creating homes people will love.

October: easily the craziest (and most catalytic) month of the year.
Family trip + our 12-year anniversary 💕
High Point Market (hello, inspiration overload)
Time with my favorite people… somehow squeezed between job sites and design deadlines.
All while juggling three new construction projects (each one massive 🤯) and a residential project that’s tested every creative, emotional, and logistical lever (gracefully, mostly 😂).
Because apparently, I said “yes” to chaos with great enthusiasm. 😂
But here’s what October added to my 2026 vision board:
☀️ An Alys Beach design project. It’s time to speak this into existence.
🎟 A return to High Point. Next time with an even clearer vision and voice.
📈 A new chapter for TBH… breaking open the business plan, rethinking the model, and doing things in a way that feels bold, exciting, and a little bit uncharted.
This month tested, taught, and grew me in all the best ways.
Now, with five working weeks left in the year, it’s time to put some of these projects in high gear… because 2026?
Already looking wild. 💙

High Point Market, you delivered 💥
A week of inspiration, connection, and big reminders about the heart of design: creativity, confidence, and community.
It’s always powerful to step away from the day-to-day and remember: great design starts with curiosity, courage, and the people who make it all possible.

The shower that’s making waves at #EveryCornerWowProj 🌊
We designed this space around large format Italian porcelain panels, each an incredible 5’ x 10’, and bookmatched for a dramatic, art-like effect. Planned with our tile partners at @llfloorco every vein lines up perfectly to create a seamless, sculptural moment that feels both classic and bold.
We paired the slabs with handcrafted zellige tile, a Mediterranean nod that brings texture and warmth while keeping the palette timeless. And the polished nickel fixtures? Always a favorite for their spa-like sheen and longevity.
TBH tip: The best designs start with what you love. When you lean into materials that speak to you, the results are always timeless.
