𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 I was too ashamed to promote Excess when it came out in 2022. My school requirements at that time were just overwhelming on top of the songs and, as the premiere date approached, I accepted that I’ll show the music “unfinished” - at least to what I had been imagining in my head. When the one year anniversary came around, I was working with former Excess cast Ju and Ralf and I didn’t bring it up because I didn’t know if they cared that they were in it. I didn’t even know if my co-creators Nikki and Yeri still cared about it. But late last year, almost all at once, I learned that the people who made it, the people who were in it, or even the people who just saw it on that Facebook livestream years ago still loved Excess. Truthfully, the reason why we got the unthinkable opportunity to stage Excess in person is because of people’s love for the show. Eventually, one truth became clear to me - Excess continues to live on because of people’s love for it. Thank you to Nikki, Yeri, and Enna for writing this show with me 2 years ago and still loving it enough that you all came back to do it again. I hope that love never dies and we can continue to see this show’s history keep expanding. Thank you to Rony Fortich for being my composing mentor. You never got to hear what the music ended up being, but I hope you’ll like it when you eventually do. Thank you to too Elian as, without your budol, the music to this show would not exist. Thank you to the original cast and crew of Excess back in 2022. We literally wouldn’t be here if you all didn’t help us create the foundation for this show two years ago. Thank you to the 2024 cast and crew of Excess for bringing this small show from a Facebook livestream to the RMT stage. And welcome to the history and legacy of this small show. And, of course, thank you to Steff - for letting me be unashamedly passionate and work tirelessly on the music when I said I wouldn’t stress out about it. And for supporting me throughout this whole production. It was nice to see you, Penelope, Cody, Athena, Rafa, and Eric. Hopefully it won’t be too long until we hear from you guys again ❤️

Congrats on finally finishing college baby 💙 @steffblanco I know your college experience wasn’t exactly what you thought it would be, but it’s still your experience and yours alone. I hope you enjoyed it regardless. And I’m forever lucky that we crossed paths even for one year in Ateneo
