a Re-introduction. hey y’all! I’m Brittany, also known as the Foliage Faerie. I am a nature girl at heart who enjoys frolicking and birding & I am also the owner of Third Ward Blooms, apart of Project Row Houses Business Residency Program. Third Ward Blooms is my lil nature sanctuary filled with flowers, plants, art & culture. Over the years Foliage Faerie has built & is steadily growing a community that is enriched by nature’s beauty through workshops, education, nature adventures, art & much more. I am thrilled to have a space in the historic 3rd Ward. This(3rd Ward) is where I’d say “the streets made me” lol. I was once living in Project Row Houses young mothers residency program & that is where my business was rooted & I began to bloom in motherhood, womanhood, sisterhood/community, & entrepreneurship. Selling plants from my front porch, to using the Doshi Pod at Doshi House, to becoming a floral artist and landing here where I can expand and share the wealth of creativity and resources I have gathered over the years. SATURDAY, MAY 16TH! 🌸🌻🌺🪻🌷🌹🌼 Our ego wants everything to last. And if it doesn’t then it’s not worth it. Why buy flowers if we know they’re going to die? The truth is, flowers are not meant to last. Their job is to help us stay in the present. They grow, they blossom, they thrive, and then they’re gone. They remind us to stay present by allowing ourselves to accept the joy when we have it. Otherwise, we blink and then it’s gone.  This workshop will include a 40-min (non-heated) gentle yoga flow and meditation, followed by a guided floral arrangement workshop sponsored by Third Ward Blooms. Participants will be able to home their own 7-stem floral arrangement which will include a vase, wrapping paper, and ribbon.  Third Ward Blooms is a small-batch plant and floral studio rooted in biophilic design, created to deepen the relationship between people and nature. Through sculptural, expressive floral work and immersive workshops, we invite the community to create, explore, and reconnect with the natural world.
