For this Kitsilano apartment, the idea was simple: bring a little bit of the beach inside. Each level number is sand-filled to reflect your position in the building. Top floor empty. Get to know Thomas Rowe, Development Manager: What drew you to join Third Space? I was drawn to the focus on building and holding rental in Vancouver long-term. Combined with the triple bottom line approach, it felt like a team thinking differently about development. It’s been rewarding to see that play out day-to-day. What’s something you’re enjoying in your role? Being involved in the full lifecycle of a project. Because we build to hold, we can apply learnings from one project to the next, we’re already seeing that with Fourth + Mac. The team is also really integrated, making it easy to adapt and improve. Can you describe your role? You’re involved in a bit of everything, helping move projects forward at every stage. No two days are the same, one day it’s policy, the next it’s working with interior design. It keeps things challenging and engaging. What do you love most about living in Vancouver? How easy it is to get outside, hiking, biking, or just walking the trails. It’s hard to beat having that so close to the city. We’re thankful to have him on the team 😊
