Meet our new Charlotte nonprofit members! After carefully combing through hundreds of applicants, we’ve selected 50 people who work for nonprofits in Charlotte to receive a free membership. It’s our belief that people do their best work when they have a place to focus, get inspired, and be around others. And our clubs at Switchyards provide just that. We’re excited and humbled to offer this resource to those doing the tough and sometimes thankless work of ensuring a better future for Charlotte and beyond. These are the great organizations where our 50 new members work.

This Thursday I’ll be joining @thirdpathinst for an interactive discussion on “The Evolution of Work-Life Integration: Where We’ve Been, Where We’re Going.” 🌱 I really wanted to share more about this organization’s incredible mission with you all. In this video I love how Third Path President and Founder Jessica DeGroot beautifully connects Third Path’s mission to the themes I explore in #WhenYouCare, plus gives a well-deserved hat tip to the insightful @poojalakshmin for her foundational work in the book Real Self Care. Overall, my goal for this book is for people to have more curiosity about care. Third Path is working alongside me in that goal…we are both working to expand people’s imagination of how we can create a world that truly values care and why such a revaluation would have positive ripple effects for every level…creating lasting social, political and economic benefits.🌎 We should all want to live in a society where good care is big, possible, and abundant. Her client had recently returned from parental leave, but she was having trouble leaving working at the time she originally hoped to each day.
