What does Renaissance mean to you? 🌷

Where it started: our Spring Renaissance issue began to took shape through details like these. Heirloom pieces, printed matter, objects that hold a sense of permanence, and the intimate setting of our editor-in-chief's own home. Our approach stays rooted in the analog. For us, this is renaissance in practice. 📸: @thirdeyecatcher

Spring cover reveal 💅🏼 Meet Good Psyche founder and EIC, Trish Mock. Shot at her home upstate, this setting holds its own kind of history. After leaving her corporate job, she’s been restoring it with a sensibility that resists urgency. Life can be reshaped with intention, away from expectation, and toward something more self-defined. Renaissance as a way of living 🏡🩷 📸: @thirdeyecatcher

Our next issue is an ode to this shift. To beauty made by hand, time spent offline, and the kind of becoming that requires ZERO permission or applause. Pre-orders for issue 3: Renaissance are now open 🌸

Office hours look a little different over here. At home with our Editor-in-Chief, Trish Mock. Plus her very important co-editors 🐶🐾 The mood behind the mag tends to start right here. Especially for the new issue 3. Being in her element means soft routines, energizing spaces, and the safety to be fully authentic. What does your space do for you? 📸:@thirdeyecatcher

Featuring our first of many LivCo Locals! 🥳 Starting with Songer/Songwriter and traveling musician.. Tyler Westcott 🎶 Born and raised in LivCo, Tyler’s roots run deep. From long days spent on his parents’ land in Nunda to the kind of memories you only make in places like Letchworth State Park, the Genesee River, and Conesus Lake. His connection to this place is grounded in both nature and nostalgia. And like so many locals, Geneseo holds a special kind of magic where music, community, and growth all intersected early in his life. Like many, Tyler’s story isn’t without its challenges. Growing up came with hard lessons, but it also came with guidance. From his mother who is an activist, teacher and community organizer to the local musicians and teachers through the years who helped him find his footing. Through it all, Livingston County taught him something that’s stayed with him: how to connect with people, even when you don’t see eye to eye. That sense of connection is at the heart of what he does today. As the founder of Folkfaces Fest (originally started in Nunda at his moms), Tyler has spent the last 10 years creating a space where people can come together through music. And although the festival isn’t in Livingston County, he brings that presence with him every time he comes home to visit and through his music, carrying the same spirit of community, creativity, and connection that he built here. After time away, his appreciation for LivCo only grew. “You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone,” he says. It’s the slower pace, the character, and the people that keep pulling him back. Because beyond what you see on the surface, there’s something special here and Tyler hopes that never changes 💛 You can follow Tyler’s Musical journey through his instagram or on his website! @folkfaces @folkfacesfest We’re always looking to share stories of the people who make Livingston county what it is. Apply to be featured and help us continue building a living archive of this incredible community and the people in it!
