We had an amazing turnout last Friday at the opening of “Made on the West Side”! So much joy filled the space as families, school staff, friends, and community members came together to celebrate West Side arts. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our student artists! If you haven’t had a chance to see the show yet, it will be on view through July 6th. Open gallery hours will be shared soon — we can’t wait for more people to experience it! You can also view the exhibition catalog and purchase artwork from the show through the gallery’s website — thirdcitystudio.org

We’re busy getting ready for the #madeonthewestside show opening on Friday, May 8th ! Yesterday, students stepped into the gallery and started making the space their own— throwing up a mural on the chalk wall inside and creating on the outdoor panels. It was all about giving them ownership of where their art will live, and they showed up with creativity and confidence! This exhibition is centered on creating space for the voices of West Side students, and they truly rose to the moment—making thoughtful decisions about how their work is displayed and shared. We had an amazing time bringing it all together and can’t wait to celebrate at the opening! Register using the QR code on the last slide #art #westsidematters #chicagolove
