🚨 Calling all Scotland readers! 🚨 Join us for an evening of drinks and discussion at our December News Club – the latest of our monthly meet-ups where we delve deeper into the world’s most pressing stories with our contributors, editors and readers. This month, contributor Rosie Hampton joins our editorial assistant Paula Lacey to discuss her recent long read ‘Where is the Left?’ As featured in our latest magazine, Hampton's piece examines how radical organizing was once backed up by a network of physical spaces, and looks at how can we rebuild them to support today's movements. 'Put simply, the left had space,' she writes. 'There were spaces to meet (and argue), spaces to organize and plan – and spaces to socialize too. This was true in Glasgow, but also across much of Scotland, Britain and the wider world. Yet now, the left is looking at a very different and less vibrant landscape.'
