Like a fine wine or kimchi, Think Tank just keeps getting better with age 🤓. You may have noticed us using this “20” logo a lot, so we thought we’d explain ourselves a bit.
2025 marks 20 Years of Think Tank. That’s 20 Years of 3D Training. 20 Years of Alumni Success. 20 Years of Blowing Things Up (on screens of course 😏), and, most importantly, 20 Years of Connecting with Amazing Artists.
This year is all about celebrating the past while looking towards the future. Here’s how to get involved:
Current Students, Alumni, Industry friends: If you have a Think Tank memory (like a project you completed at the school, or an event you went to) post it using #ThinkTank20. We want to reshare as many of the great memories from the last two decades as we can ⭐️.
So many of you have been a part of this fantastic journey. For all that you’ve created, or are about to create, thank you!

Practice 203 by Valentino Chen 🤍✨
Clean lines, sharp armor, and a face so realistic it made us look twice. Valentino brought Lzz's concept to life with stunning precision for his Advanced Term Final Project in our CG Asset Creation for Film or Games program. The craftsmanship in every close-up shot speaks for itself.
Keerin by Yitie Ma 🐉✨
Equal parts terrifying and beautiful; Based upon the work of Zhelong Xu, Yitie brought this mythical creature concept to life with this stunning Advanced Term Final Project in our CG + 3D Asset Creation for Film or Games program. The sculptural complexity, the painterly textures, the sense of movement, this one is something truly special.
Insert coin. 🕹️🔥
Lucas Mößner's Highscore: an Intermediate Term Final Project from our CG Asset Creation for Film or Games program, based on concept art by JDR. From modular kits, custom shaders, and graffiti decals to CRT screens; the technical depth on this environment is seriously next level for an intermediate term.
This character just stopped us in our tracks. 🔥
Jules Joris' Sweet Ophelia: an Intermediate Term Final Project from our CG Asset Portfolio Pre-Production & Production program, based on concept art by bodybag planty. Dark, dramatic, and executed at an incredibly high level for an intermediate term. The full breakdown is something else entirely.
Step inside Chronicle Oddities 🕰️✨
Xinlei (Candy) Yi dreamed up this atmospheric Victorian curiosity shop from scratch and brought it to life for her Advanced Term Final Project in our CG Asset Portfolio Pre-Production & Production program. Original concept, original execution, and an original world we never want to leave.
Desert Priestess by Emiko Ishizuka 🐍✨
What started as a concept by Ying Ding became this stunning, intricately crafted character; gold jewelry, serpent companions, and all. This is an Advanced Term Final Project from our CG Asset Pre-Production & Production program, and it absolutely commands attention.
"I almost quit."
We hear this more often than people think.
We just released a short interview with Alex, a Think Tank graduate now working in the game industry, talking about the moments where things felt the hardest — and what helped him push through.
Full interview is up on LinkedIn and YouTube. Find the link in our bio!

The world ended. The station remained. 🌿
Max Shestak built this stunning post-apocalyptic environment for his Final Portfolio Project in our 3D Portfolio Pre-Production & Production program, drawing from the visual language of The Last of Us. The breakdown alone shows just how much craft went into every corner of this scene.
"I almost quit."
It's something we hear from a lot of students, and honestly, it's more common than you'd think.
We're launching a new alumni interview series to share the real stories behind the journey into the industry. Not just the finished reels, but what training was actually like, when things felt hardest, and how our graduates got hired.
First interview coming soon. 👀
Tron Bike Concept by Brandon Mells 🏍️✨
Sleek, cinematic, and impossibly cool: this Fundamentals Term Final Project from our Houdini for Film or Games program is a love letter to Disney's Tron built entirely in Houdini and rendered in Cycles. The future looks good.
