Benny asked what Capecut is, and I made this in just 3 minutes! Love it!
.
It's been quite a year so far. We've never traveled so much and spent only 3 months on Phangan. Shocking!
.
Now that I'm back in Berlin, I finally have time to let everything sink in.
.
It feels like a lifetime since I left for Sri Lanka in October. From the time in Chiang Mai, experiencing my first Vipassana, to several stops in Bangkok, laid-back weeks on Phayam, extra hot season on Phangan, a little getaway to Langkawi and Koh Lipe, and finally ending up close to where I started: the south of India, that perfectly completed my inner and outer journey. I've never returned to the city feeling so fulfilled. ✨

Myanmar 2026
Today we visited a village shared by the sea gypsies — the Moken tribe — and the Burmese, just a 30-minute boat ride from Wa Ale.
For the first time, it felt like stepping into the real Myanmar, catching a glimpse of everyday life.
Myanmar is an incredibly large country.
The southern region is made up of islands and a long coastline bordering Thailand.
It feels peaceful, pristine, and largely untouched.
In front of the Buddha statue kneels a beautiful older woman, carrying just as much wisdom as craziness. Her glassy blue eyes feel like a window into another world.
On one side of the village stands a Buddhist temple and monastery; on the other, a traditional Moken shrine.
The white flag represents the protective spirit connected to the wind.
In front of the shrine are the announcements for the upcoming local football games.
Since I’m staff, I gladly wasn’t eligible for the umbrella treatment. But having a serious gut infection at the moment, walking through the blistering midday sun gave me heatstroke.
So the story comes to the same old conclusion: watch your electrolytes!

20 years of Bangkok and me.
I was just 19 when the humid air, the scent of flowers, and the singsong of Thai voices caught my heart.
20 years of countless visits and memories.
Walking your streets with ease and intuition, meeting myself through different ages and phases of life.
You carried me through heartbreak, loss, epic nights out, and a never-ending honeymoon.
20 years of growth and change.
I used to carry a card with the hotel’s address to show the taxi driver.
Today I hop on a motorbike taxi after two clicks in an app.
Sending all my gratitude skyward to @sanna_hecht
She alone, without any doubt, changed the course of my life, recognising a version of myself that didn’t exist yet.
I wish we could roam through sweaty Bangkok nights just one more time.

It’s always a full moon in the desert. 🌕
It has been a time of calm and grounding, yet deeply adventurous. I feel both humbled by and proud of the opportunity to explore this magnificent world, bit by bit.
Traveling to Oman was truly a one-of-a-kind experience . A place so peaceful and gracious in its simplicity, with the friendliest people and the most flavourful food.
It has been the complete opposite of Dubai, where our little adventures started. After all it's not about the place but the people you meet and it's always a delight to meet our friends across the globe.
November 2024 — 700 km from Taghazout to Merzouga.
One of those trips where every step failed, yet somehow the journey becomes the story. And with the coolest friends, everything melts into the sweetest memories.
Whatever happened, however chaotic it was, there we were, together, tired and puffy, in a centuries old oasis castle, taken out of time, like a fragment of a dream.
I still remeber the deep sense of calm, being in awe of the obstacles we had mastered with ease and fun.
Everyone bringing their own flavour and strengths, moving in an effortless dance of exploring the world just a little more.
🤜💗🤛

So many beautiful moments from the past year have remained unshared—unable to fully express the depth of experiences, merely going through the motions. It has been a painful year of losses and changes in countless ways.
Beginning the year with a Vipassana retreat set the tone for tuning inward—a process of gathering my scattered pieces and rearranging them anew. I’ve examined patterns and dynamics, moving through what felt like an eternity of suffering. Yet, with care and compassion, trust in my daily sadhana, and an abundance of patience and love, I now look back on this year with joy and awe.
As I settle cosily in Berlin for now, I feel the time and space to gently integrate not only the past year but nearly a decade of traveling, expanding, contracting, and expanding once more 🦋
