Been a while since I did an artisan focused shot and what better chance to get back to it than this M89 Kolkrabba from @archetype_mk
Getting the flakes within the translucent black resin to properly show up in the shot without drowning out the brilliant lines of the cap itself was quite a challenge. This is about the third different lighting setup I tried and it finally worked like I wanted to... well, mostly 😉
Was really fun to shot something different than keyboards again as working with these little caps is a whole different experience than lighting a keyboard. Always so much to learn and improve upon!

After capturing a rainbow in the studio for GMK Midnight Rainbow, it was time to tackle the next nature phenomenon for GMK Aurora Polaris!
Thought process for the picture was pretty much:
What can I do for GMK Aurora Polaris? ... *google Aurora Polaris* Look at all these nice pictures of bands of green light! Would be cool to have something like that in the background... wait a sec... "bands of light"? Wonder if I can't do something with light painting... 🤔
Took quite a bit of trial and error to find a setup that works but I think the end result is worth the effort, wouldn't you agree?
(Side note: Could've saved me a lot of headaches by going down the composite route and take multiple pictures to combine in post. I just like to do as much in camera as I possibly can, even if it's the harder route to take 😅)

Saw a fantastic shot and behind-the-scenes by @leokellr on Twitter some days ago. I knew I had to give the idea a spin and had just the fitting board/keycap combination in the queue for a shot!
Quite like the result, though I had to fix a few lighting mistakes in post. But I learned a lot and can't wait for another chance to apply the new knowledge.

Was cleaning up the studio setup from the last shot to prepare for the next one and stashed the Phoenix on the balustrade by the stairs to take it back down to my office. Really liked how the board looked there so I took this quick shot without my usual prep work.

The red-but-with-a-bit-of-pink of @fredington GMK Red Devils gave me quite a headache during editing. Still not sure if this is a proper representation but it's as close as I can get without going mad 😅
Either way, it's a fantastic and bold color choice and I'm really glad I bought this set on a whim because I wanted to have a red keyset in the collection!
