The last game of @wendigo_events_ awesome heresy event was against the two top lads @zakminiatures and @thingsminiature who we had the pleasure of playing at the previous event (I still have PTSD from Edmund) As always we had an absolute laugh, and both of their armies were absolutely stunning! Victory went to the traitors despite @the_fish0305 knight detonating and blowing a large hole in their army 😂

Game 2 of the sacking of vanville IV heresy event run by @phosphexfanboy@wendigo_forge_3d this game was against the beautifully painted armies of @thingsminiature and @zakminiatures we had an absolute blast playing! The highlight was the plasma dreadnought we named Edmund the merciless going on a cavalry rampage hunting down any horses he could find, end tally at least 40 😂

Great weekend at @waacannon_minis and @phosphexfanboy event. A real great effort for their first ever event.
Had a fantastic time playing four truly spectacular games of heresy with @zakminiatures and his gorgeous (unfinished) death guard.
Got to play against some truly great opponents as well,
@buffelgum and his mate Russel - which was a win for the EC and DG just about (saturnine do not die easily)
Liam and Simon with their great Napoleonic themed solar and militia. Which saw my Contemptor butcher a fair few horses.
@srirachawargamer and @lionsofcaliban with their loyalist EC and DA - Safe to say that Dark angel terminators are still as scary as ever after they butchered my poor palatine blades in one round of combat
And finally, we got to play @meddersminiatures and @shattered_legionary in a game 4 grudge match. Safe to say this was a real tactical battle that came down to one laser vindicator shot failing to penetrate a typhon on a 4+.
Finally, just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the nice words said about my army. It was really nice to hear so many complimentary comments about them after how many hours have been spent sat over the painting desk. Walking away with a nomination certificate was certainly one of the many highlights of the weekend.

I went to the @heresyhammershow doubles last weekend with my good friend Jonny and his nightlords (not on insta).
Game 1 was against @phosphexfanboy and Ed (not sure if he’s on insta) and their lovely white scars and iron warriors combination. Going into this game we thought we didn’t have a chance due to the white scars rite of war denying us kill points. But being the gentleman that he is Howie elected to ignore that rule. It ended in a 10-10 draw which was a very fitting result in my opinion.
Game 2 was against Arjan and Rob who had travelled all the way from the Netherlands with their gorgeous imperial fists and custodes. This mission required the loyalists to escort an important scientist off of the table. Unfortunately for the loyalists my leviathan dreadnought had other plans for them and proceeded to absolutely demolish a good chunk of the custodes army alongside a few mooks from the imperial fists. This lead to a victory for the traitors.
Game 3 was a bit of a spin on the traditional doubles format meaning that we randomly got assigned a new partner, I got paired up with some lovely iron warriors and we faced off against @gore_crow ‘s lovely custodes army and Mitch’s (from the @amasec_n_archaeotech podcast) unique solar auxillia using the iron cohort doctrine. Once again we had a super close game of heresy coming down to a javelin on a single wound death or glory-ing a leman Russ on the last turn which lead to another win for the traitors.
Game 4 was against @ashesoftheimperium and @hermesolympian1 really cool and unique armies featuring 11 speeders of varying capacity, this was a tough match up as we struggled to close the ground between our selves and this super mobile force. Ultimately the movement advantages and combat prowess of the dark fury’s overwhelmed us leading to the first loss of Tybalt Marr’s career.
On a personal note I was super happy to walk away with the favourite player’ award and would like to thank everyone that voted for me.

Went to an event this weekend over at @boardsswords in derby.
It was nice to get a very different variation of my sons of Horus army on the table even if they did appallingly (0-4).
My standouts from the weekends are the game vs @waac_scars which was absolutely brutal with not a lot surviving to see the end of the game.
As well as the last game which was a free for all 4-way between; @zakminiatures and his award winning dark angels, @waacannon_minis and his award winning iron warriors, and finally @kastor.warhammer awesome demons army. We ended up striking a very shaky alliance between the legionaries to attempt to deal with a sovereign. This alliance soon faltered and it turned into an absolute blood bath with only 3 assault marines and a land raider escaping the carnage.
All in all a cracking weekend.

I was very lucky to play against 4 brilliant opponents including @heretic_ben and his lovely sons of Horus.
Somehow my sons of Horus managed to achieve 4 wins over the course of 4 games which I am beyond pleased with. I am hoping that I can attend the next one in November.
