Back home after an intense week of knowledge exchange (and walking!) at the @dutchdesignweek international visitor programme. Highlight was meeting all these incredible creative practitioners, and renewing old friendships as well (with toothpaste).

Early 2019 I started working on this book for the Mercedes-Benz Club of Sri Lanka, to celebrate their 3 decades of existence. Offering intimate portraits of long-time members and showcasing the design and beauty of the cars they love and have collected over the years. I had lots of terrifying-fun designing and figuring out the overall print production- testing the debossed cover, the transparent chapter breaks, and the 5 colour print with some pages dripping in a beautiful Pantone 877C silver.
It took nearly two years and within that time we lost the first paper samples that took weeks to decide on, which thankfully came back in stock by the time we were ready to print 😅 PHEW.
