Am 9. Mai fand in der @o2surftownmuc die zweite Rip Curl Nations Trophy presented by Citroën statt. 🏄🌊 Ein Event mit einigen der besten Surfer Europas und Festivalstimmung direkt am Beckenrand. Das Besondere am Contest: Im professionellen Surfsport wird normalerweise um Einzeltitel und Welttour-Punkte gesurft. Bei der Nations Trophy ging es stattdessen um die Nationenwertung . Jeweils zwei Männer und zwei Frauen pro Team traten gemeinsam für ihr Land an. Gesurft wurde auf Europas längster künstlicher Welle: 180 Meter lang, bis zu 25 Sekunden Ride Length und Wellen mit bis zu 45 km/h entlang der Line.
