Summer in a skein — Saona by @wooldreamers — laidback, soft like your favorite well-worn sweatshirt. A 50/50 wool/cotton blend. We’re seriously in love with this yarn.
It’s a big project week at the shop as we give needlework some much-needed breathing room. Pardon our disorganization for a few days — we’re happy to help you find anything you need!
@theresagaffey keeps it simple, and creates designs we want to knit over and over. This is the Wentworth Wrap — we asked Theresa to create something with our new Neon Fingering by @hartfordyarnworks
Theresa took a skein of Neon Purple, paired it with a skein of @polkadotsheep Tenderfoot and knit a simple wrap we will knit in two contrasting skeins of fingering weight yarn forever and ever! Pattern is on Ravelry and our website, and we’ve got yarn ideas aplenty.
From a weekend order, it’s a @holstgarn #orderoftheday — Cones Edition! That’s more than 2,500 grams, 16,000+ yards of a moody botanical palette. Gorgeous.
It’s a beautiful day to visit your LYS! There’s gorgeous yarn, treats, and giveaways. And yes, a race means Summit Ave is closed this morning. Ayd Mill Road is the secret passageway down to St. Clair Ave!
This beautiful spring day — with snow on the rhubarb — is the perfect time to introduce Lightstripe. It’s my favorite kind of project, a big, colorful piece of fabric with a fun-to-knit stitch pattern. Lightstripe uses my very favorite yarn, @holstgarn Coast, a light fingering weight wool/cotton blend — my desert island yarn. This wrap — a deep asymmetrical triangle, knit from the bottom up — uses Coast at gauge, which makes for a light, billowy fabric. The project uses 10 colors of Coast, and there will be kits available @theyarnery in a couple weeks. Use code LIGHTLAUNCH for 20% off the pattern on Ravelry through 4.22.26. Thanks for supporting my designs!
A new contender for our favorite cotton yarn — Palma by @amanoyarns — soft, organic cotton with a nubbly texture that adds interest and character to garments. Beachy, pastel shades, a perfect summer yarn. In-store and online now!
