The heavy timber gable, tongue and groove ceiling, balusters, and deck skirting all carry the same wood throughout. It reads as one cohesive build because it is.
We supplied 8x8 and 6x6 timbers for the timber gable, dimensional cedar for the framing and railings, and 1x6 T&G for the ceiling. The western red cedar keeps it warm without feeling rustic, and that colour against a dark exterior is hard to beat.
