Farm season is upon us! We’ll be running regular specials all spring and summer with all the amazing local fruits and veggies we can get our hands on. Just because we’re your low-brow neighborhood shawarma joint doesn’t mean we don’t like to have fun with local produce!

Unfortunately, this time of year restaurants like ours are at the mercy of the global food supply chain. It’s been nearly impossible to source the Fresno chiles we use to make our hot sauce recently. We’re doing our best to find them, but while supply is short, we’re going to have to limit hot sauce to sandwiches, rice plates and kapsalons, and we won’t be able to offer it as a side sauce option - we hope this disruption is short-term (and local pepper season really can’t come soon enough…) and hope we’re not leaving y’all too disappointed!
We’ll be adding Tuesdays starting 4/7/26!!! Of course this means we’ll now be open every day! Yep. Shawarma, falafel, fries, Peroni, big ass family meals…all available daily! Get psyched!!

We started TWF partly as a way to prove that good food doesn’t have to come at the expense of a restaurant’s staff. While we aren’t perfect, our priority every single day is the people who work here. Part of how we show respect for our staff is by never taking political positions without buy-in from everybody, and only donating to organizations that every member of the team feels comfortable with. This is why we’ve been quiet these last 24 hours - while many other businesses in the area are donating portions of their sales tonight to various excellent causes, we felt that we first needed to discuss this with everyone that works here. That having been said, we will be setting aside 10% of all of our sales tonight to be given to an organization that we, as a team, decide we’d like to support. We want our people to feel valued. We’re not yet sure what the organization will be, but it will be local, and it’ll have the backing of not just ownership, but of everyone who works here.
We don’t take ourselves very seriously here at TWF. Our fries, on the other hand, are an obsession. Are they the best fries in Burlington? That’s subjective. But we urge you to come decide for yourselves. We wager they’re up there with the heavy hitters.
