For the last month I have been lucky to be a part of the RockCorps family as a volunteer coordinator.
Being part of the first Nottingham team has been an experience for sure! Between the highs and the lows, this has taught me so much about myself and my ability within the industry.
This was something different to the music festivals but was definitely something I'd be happy to return to ✨

What an incredible festival to work for.
Download was a long, sunny, amazing time where I got to sit in event control and watch how everything works. Getting a real insight into the logistics of what happens during show days and how teams communicate effectively for the greater festival.
Working as the residents line operator meant communicating with the locals on all their queries, complaints and praises throughout the festival. Working with the traffic and sound pollution team to ensure smooth operations for all the residents within the nearby area.

What a great first event to be doing this summer.
Working with FAB as an accreditation assistant was a great way for me to see how the logistics of events work and how many people it takes to run them. Accreditation is a good eye opener into the amount of work put into events that most will not see.
I look forward to continuing working in festivals over the summer and the future across different roles 🙏
