What an adventure. Fishing again in the same place I caught my first salmon at 4 years old. The feeling was so special — and being there 30+ years later with such good people made it even more meaningful.

Amazing days out there at the end of the season while Chasing Wild Atlantics, with challenging conditions of Gin-Clear-low Water and Blue skies, Casting small flies on guys, that were sitting on the rocks,.
For me, Salmon in Iceland is a definition of Technical fishing with single-handed rods on medium small rivers,. When you can sight fish for Guys like this, that are rather Easy to be spotted, especially if they also roll on the surface, what they often does,.. If you combine this with purity of Icelandic Nature and lack of any other fishermans on the river, it will definitely become also your favourite thing to do out there!

If the Hucho is the Queen of the rivers, than Pike is definitely the King of European Fresh waters,...
So on the Recent trip, I decided to complete all side missions along the main one as well!
And as you can see, I managed to find what I was looking for,.. 100+ River Crocodile was my dream for many years when this was not just bi catch,. I used proper stainless wire, which if I didn’t use, there is no way I would get this gator since the hook was somewhere deep in his throw!
Special thanks to @thymallus.fishing_sport Who gives me all needed informations - when, where, what,.. I bet he regrets sharing that informations with me, but it's too late for that now,..😄
Soon enough, I'll be travelling back to Europe again, and I hope for some more Big Predators action!
