Donington AutoSOLO
A lot of talk was had about the racing at Silverstone Spring Start a few weeks back, but we were running another fantastic form of motorsport as well – the AutoSOLO, of course. If you have not got your ARDS or simply fancy taking part in a different form of motorsport, this is a fantastic discipline of competing to try your hand at.

VSCC touring is something that everyone needs to take part in at some point — beautiful countryside, great cars, and shared passion.

On 23 May we return to Donington Park and the pre-war circuit.
With nine races across the day on the National layout, there is a wide range of
opportunities for pre-war racing and sports cars, specials, FISCAR and invitation grids.
Donington has its own character and history. If your car belongs on that circuit, this is
the meeting to consider.

Join us for the 5th annual Wessex Trial, held in memory of the legendary James and Simon Diffey. This isn't your standard championship round—it’s a unique 50-mile journey run on 1920s MCC principles, with cars flagged off at one-minute intervals just like the golden era of motoring.
📍 The Route: 50 miles of breath taking Mendip countryside and views across the Somerset levels, Wales and Middle Earth.
🏔️ The Sections: We’re taking on the historic Burledge (used since the 1930s!) alongside fantastic grassland and farm sections.

What a way to kick off the 2026 season🏁
The VSCC Spring Start at Silverstone delivered an unforgettable weekend of racing, innovation, and community. From the hugely successful return of the High Speed Trial—welcoming a wave of first-time racers—to thrilling on-track battles and standout performances across the board, the season is off to a flying start.
A special highlight was seeing so many new faces take to the circuit, alongside our continued work with StarterMotor, inspiring the next generation of motorsport talent through hands-on experience and behind-the-scenes access.
On track, the action didn’t disappoint:

Off track, the ever-popular AutoSOLO once again proved that grassroots motorsport is alive and thriving—accessible, exciting, and a perfect entry point for newcomers.
This is just the beginning. The 2026 season promises more incredible racing, more opportunities to get involved, and more of the camaraderie that makes VSCC so special.
