32.4% of babies are born via cesarean, yet so many parents are left without the support, education, and validation they deserve. A c-section is not the "easy way out"âit is birth. It is strength. It is resilience.
This month, we honor every cesarean parentâthe ones who feel proud, the ones who feel robbed, the ones who are still processing, and the ones preparing for another birth. Your experience matters. Your feelings are valid. Your story is powerful.
Letâs raise awareness for informed choices, better recovery support, and empowered birthsâno matter how they happen. Share your cesarean story below or tag a friend who needs to hear this today.

Birth After Cesarean
It's a beautiful day for a VBAC story, Women of Strength! Meet Amanda, about her birth, she writes:
"My first son was born via emergency c- section in December of 2023 after a failed induction. I was induced solely because I was about to hit 41 weeks and was told that was policy. The labor was traumatic as I was failing to progress and my sonâs heart rate kept plummeting. After processing this birth through EMDR therapy, I realized I desired and deserved a different experience and was determined to go for a VBAC! After finding out I was pregnant in spring of 2025, I worked towards creating my birth team by hiring a doula and switching to a more supportive provider. On 2/12/26 at 40 weeks and 3 days, I woke up at 2 am with contractions and although the pain was REAL, I was so happy that my body was doing it! After laboring at home for a few hours, my contractions were consistently lasting 1 minute each and were 5 minutes apart so I decided to head to the hospital. In triage at around 6am, they told me I was only 2 cm dilated which was not encouraging but they admitted me due to the fact that I was planning on heading in later that day to have my water broken anyway. At around 7am, I had an epidural and foley balloon placed. By 11am, the foley balloon had fallen out and I was at 6cm and 80% effaced. After my water was broken around 3pm, things progressed quickly with my body doing all the work - no pitocin! My doula helped so much by keeping me calm and continuing to move me in different positions. By 6pm, I was complete and ready to push and just 20 minutes later my sweet boy was born. After being with us for the night, he was taken to NICU due to the nurse noticing some retractions. He ended up there for a week for âclinical sepsisâ which was not how I envisioned my VBAC success to end but he is now home and healthy and I am so thankful I wasnât recovering from a c-section while visiting him in the hospital. "
